Q:Can I use a thermostat on this unit ? I purchased a Bonaire unit and burned out 2 motors in the first month of operation and Bonaire refused to take responsibility after they gave me a new motor the first time because I told them I was using a thermostat.

grill shoots at floor
I am extremely frustrated about this unit I read reviews that stated the grill issue was fixed, so I purchased
this unit.. The grill issue IS NOT FIXED> The grill shoots at the floor and I have to put some blocks of wood to keep them open I contacted Hessaire and they did send out a replacement grill, however I will have to disconnect the electrical wires to do this. I dont have the knowledge to do so.
Also a oily residue is shooting out of the grill, I requested help several times from them with no responce.
I sent a request for help concerning the wiring issue, we will see if they keep ignoring me
I had to put plastic on the floor to keep the residue from ruining my floor I really need this in the heat , but I may need to return it

Moster for sure with a tiny tiny water inlet
Nowhere does it tell you it takes a 1/4 inch flare water line for a water inlet. Was so excited when ut arrived at the size of the thing anticapation of putting it in my 100 degree shop before a 4 day weekend until i seen the inlet. Had to drive 148 miles round trip to go buy the adaptors for water hose down to 1/4 inch flare which isnt exactly easy to find. I had a tiny Heessire swamp cooler that was 1/4 of the size of this and my garden hose hooked right onto it. I havent hooked it up yet i can not speak to how it works I give it 1 star for the lack of information Home Depot has about the item.

HESSAIRE Treats You Right!
My review is mainly on HESSAIRE, the company. I did have an issue with my control switch after one week and I received top quality customer service from everyone at HESSAIRE. My issue was fixed under warranty within days of submitting my claim. Madysen M. is awesome. My house stays very cool and the cooler comes fully assembled for an easy install. Highly recommend this cooler and HESSAIRE.

Is this model 6700 CFM or 6100 CFM?
Manual says 6700 CFM on the cover. A fully plastic unit that has plenty of air flow for our home. We purchased this model specifically because it has four small cooler panels that are low in weight for removal/servicing. Being senior citizens we could not lift the huge one piece "C" shaped cooler panel on our last unit. The draw back of a plastic unit is the locking tabs that hold on the side panels, several broke off during the installation. The oscillating air sweep is a nice feature.

No interior grille cover
The only reason I give it one star is because this water cooler doesn't have a cover for the inside grille. I got in touch with Hessaire and they told me that they don't make a cover for this model. It should be stated in the package or somewhere else that this product doesn't come or doesn't have a cover. I had to cover it with a plastic trash bag and that does not look good inside the house.

Vents
The design is eye catching and the power is suitable for our needs. The only draw back is the vents close on their own, you have to keep setting them over and over. If the vents continue to angle down then the unit is no good because the air will not cool the whole room or rooms. As you can see the vents will not stay open. Once this is corrected , the Hessaire Evaporative window cooler (6700) CFM will be a formidable unit.

The plastic body is flimsy at best , the fan is so loud that you think there is an old propeller style air plane is trying to take off in your living room. Its definitely not what we expected after reading the description !

We have had good success with the cooler keeping our house cool in Fresno California. It is a little noisy but that was to be expected. We have kept it on low and as long as we start it before the day is too hot it keeps it nice and cool. We live in a 1350 sq feet mobile home in the country west of town. We will see how it does over the long haul.
