Works perfectly. Easy assembly only required attaching the 4 heavy duty wheels, it rolls effortlessly across my pavers even when full. My backyard patio is once again habitable in the evenings even though the outdoor temps are in the 90s. I am glad I purchased the bigger unit, the bang for the buck sold me on the unit. It does go through a lot of water, I fill it every couple of hours as I choose not to use the auto fill by attaching a hose.

Back porch in Dallas Texas 5300cfm
I received my unit today and it unpacked and assembled very easily. I purchased the refurbished model due to the huge savings, but this looks brand new, and the only indication that it is refurbished is the paperwork. Filling it up with water manually with a hose was a breeze, then hooking it ip to the garden hose was a breeze. I ran the pump for a minute or two to get the media wet, then turned the fan on. Presto, 79° air coming out of this unit and it’s 103° temp outside today (heat index/feels like temp is 108). This unit is far quieter than I thought it would be on all 3 fan settings. I’m sitting on my back porch right now with the unit on low about 6 feet away from me, and I’m cool as a cucumber. Great caster wheels that are rubber or nylon that will roll on wood floors without damaging them. No problems or complaints to report. I just ordered another one for my lake property. I highly recommed you get the big one so others can enjoy your backporch with you.

The unit is nicely made for the price point and cools air quite nicely. It can take 100 degree air and cool down to 88 degrees.

Apparently I didn't read everything before I purchased it because I didn't know it was a refurbished unit. The control panel was just laying on top and when I plugged it in the pump didn't work. Since it was exposed I looked at the wiring and there was 3 wires not connected. I put it all back together and now it works.

It was used
I was very excited to get this product for an outdoor even I was having. I received an old product. It looks like it was used for years. I returned it the same day I received it. I am very disappointed at the Home Depot. I don’t know how they do business with such neglected vendor who sends used old product to customers.

I’m so happy
I live in Las Vegas (desert) and my upstairs ac went out. It’s been 89-94 degrees upstairs throughout the day up until about 8pm. We had fans but I just received this swamp cooler and it already has cooled my entire room. I’m going to move it around and open my door and see how far it will cook down. It’s amazing so far. I’m going to get another one

Summers are very hot where I live and this swamp cooler has made a big difference. It’s made life enjoyable and I’m thinking about buying another one for outside.
