This expandable net is 5 by 8 feet unstretched and is meshed closely enough to hold even small gear or packages. It comes with a set of hooks which can be placed almost anywhere around the net making it adjustable to size in case the whole net isn't required and is adjustable to odd shapes. It is used primarily to cover or contain cargo on truck beds or trailers but also works nicely in that back of a van to contain cargo in emergency situations. The netting is tangle resistant and will expand to 150 percent of its original size. There is a storage pouch included and the net has a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

This net has come in quite handy over these past few weeks as I've had tons of oversized cargo to carry in my truck bad and on a trailer. It stretches pretty far and the hooks that you can place anywhere are handy, though I wish the hook ends were slightly bigger. It also has a tendency to turn into a bit of a tangled mess and finding the corners can be problematic - I might paint them or wrap them with tape to make them easier to identify! Other than that, I'm happy with it.

I regularly made trips to the dump and recycling centers with a couple dozen bungy cords crisscrossing everywhere keeping everything from blowing out. Took about 15 minutes to get them in place and again to remove them. This net is far superior. It covers the entire pick-up bed. The plastic hooks won’t mar the paint and can be moved anywhere that you have a lash point. It is a breeze to put in place and remove. The openings are still fairly large, so I still need to use a tarp underneath, mostly because I am transporting various odd-shaped and small items, but I had to previously use a tarp anyway. Comes in a nice zip bag to keep it tidy when storing it behind the seat. So far the plastic hooks seem to be durable enough, but I am concerned how they will hold up in sub-zero weather. I usually hook to D-ring anchor points, but if you needed to connect under a lip of the bed side you may have some issues with the hooks being too large. I also have a smaller size pick-up, but if I need to use tie-downs, my load would have be large enough that the net would be stretched up over it. This size net may not stretch tight for a smaller load in a small pick-up, or you may need to hook at different interior web points. So far, I am impressed, this has made my life easier.

I really liked this cargo net compared to previous "spider web" style nets I have owned in the past. We use it to cover and keep all of our camping gear in the bed of our truck when we travel on the highway. I like the square grid design, it keeps it from getting tangled when putting it on. I also appreciate how you are able to attach the hooks in any spot on the net, making for a more custom and secure fit.

When you have an open utility trailer, you need a cargo net ! Heininger has come up with a great one ! The 5 foot by 8 foot size is perfect as it stretches and has hooks to hold it in place. I like the fact that the hooks are separate so you can place them where you want and use as many as you need (12) ! It is also great for pickup truck beds when your soft or hard cover can't be used !

I wanted this cargo netting to use over a tarp to hold it down while transporting yard waste for compost. It worked okay after I got it situated and tied down. But, since I don't have a full-sized truck, this netting was too big for my needs. I had to gather it up a bit and try to tie it down securely. It is sectioned in quite large blocks too, so that would make it difficult if I needed to use it to carry smaller boxes or if I did not want to use a tarp under it. They make one that is smaller that would probably fit my needs better. One downside to this cargo netting for me was the plastic hooks. I don't know if I would trust them too long and they didn't quite fit in my truck bed clamps very well. I used other small tie downs that I had. Again, it's a good value and I'm sure it would work much better with full-sized truck bed or flat-bed truck, but it didn't work well with my smaller sized truck bed. There was just too much of it and the sections were way too large.
