Very nice fan, but with better lighting I would give it an excellent rating. The lights are just in the front leaving the back of my stovetop a bit dim.

Product itself seems to be good. Directions for installation suck!!! The list of parts that are included don't include a list of all the part that come in the box so you have to guess what a couple of the parts are for.

We love the look and function but the touch screen buttons are not sensitive enough. You have to push harder than you’d think. The fan does a great job and at full speed it isn’t that loud. Installation instructions could be better, and it took a bit to figure out how the grates go together (it’s wrong on the Home Depot pic) long bar goes at the back. Also set aside a good chunk of time to peel the white plastic off, was absolutely terrible

Installing this is a full gut remodel on a rental/possible flip house. so far its just staged in place and vented outside and hanging on studs where it will go with no drywall etc. It looks great and is easy to mount etc. I've been using the fan and settings to get familiar and they are intuitive which is good because the instructions are vague and seem somewhat generic. I will say its real quiet for one thing and on high speed it pulls a lot of air! and I like the fact it starts out with the auto fan sensor (temperature activated very handy feature!) engaged when its plugged in. you can disable that feature and it will stay off until its reset. the display is blue once turned on and is black no indicators are lit until its turned on. it has a clock also and the decently bright led lights are at the front of the unit. which I found to be a lot better than at the back like a lot of them are and that was another reason I picked this unit. there is a reason to disable the auto fan setting in that if you want the fan to stay on any speed other than 1 for any length of time then the auto sensor needs to be off. otherwise the fan will go back to 1 after a short while which is actually a real nice feature imo. I am an auto mechanic by trade so have mechanical aptitude as far as making things work and it came in handy on this install. IE: the screws to hold the vent adapter down to the top of the unit were too short and not enough of them anyway. the instructions as I said are vague and have overlay pages stuck on top of the original instructions which always makes me nervous. those instructions say this is 900 cfm not 600 like I was expecting. and the spec on the motor according to instructions is 126 w (1 amp) and pretty sure I read before buying this it was 3 amps? because I have to figure all the outlets requirements in the kitchen to wire it. not all that is a bad thing but I wonder what is the truth? my biggest concern is the metal filters they are an absolute bear to install and remove!! there is absolutely no instructions included that pertain to the type filters that were supplied with this unit so I had to figure it out myself . the issue with the filters is they are VERY tight fitting and need to be pried out and that is not a good situation for the average home owner. fact I would guess an average housewife wouldn't be strong enough or inclined to wrestle these filters out to routinely clean them. so as the potential land lord I see extra maintenance calls to the property.. sorry for a long review but when looking for a range hood I found there are hundreds of choices and it was very difficult to make a decision. so if what my observations help someone else then the long post is worth it. so in a nutshell the unit is nice looking its quiet easy to install and the features are imo more than adequate it definitely needs better instructions and better fitting filters and oh it comes with a remote for crying out loud! who would be able to use that lol?! oh well good luck on your search I hope this helps someone!
