Q:I purchased this a few years ago and several months ago I noticed the bottom right corner is wearing off. I notified someone about 6 months ago and was told a replacement would be coming in February.

So much for Fog free?
Impossible to clean thanks to some coating on the glass that is meant to be fog free, yet still not fog free?? Not recommended if that's what your after. Otherwise ok? But still disappointed.

Hinge components broke/Not Fog Free
Had this installed 18 months ago. Really nice looking piece and we like all the mirrored surfaces. The door would pull closed automatically and softly until pieces of the self closing hinges broke on 2 of the 3 hinges. Found the first piece in the sink and wondered where it came from. When the same piece from hinge #2 broke and fell out the "self closing" function stopped working. The broken retainer piece is very cheap, junk metal. Hinge itself is coated steel.
I contacted the hinge manufacturer in China and they agreed to send 2 free replacement hinges if I paid for shipping - $40.00. Have not decided if it's worth it.
Also, it DOES fog up, the technology they mention needs some work!

Beware and Avoid
This cabinet is dangerous. My cabinet was professionally installed and recessed. After 2 months, a spring and piece broke off of the top door hinge. It shot off the cabinet, when I opened the door, like a bullet. Luckily it did not hit me.

Not Brushed Nickel
The size of this cabinet and amount of storage is good. However, the color is NOT brushed nickel (see pic - New faucet fixtures are brushed nickel-I don’t know what color this cabinet is; maybe a coppery-nickel) . Also, the hinges squeak and pop, and the edges of this cabinet are sharp.

This medicine cabinet and similar items should be RECALLED!!
This medicine cabinet (Home Decorators Collection Model # 45427) is extremely dangerous because of the way that the three spring-loaded hinges are constructed. We purchased this medicine cabinet in the spring of 2019, had it installed by a professional contractor and within months the lower hinge malfunctioned and the spring launched a jagged piece of metal across the room. I tried to get Home Depot to replace the hinge under warranty but to no avail; Although I sent them pictures, I was told that I had to mail them the old hinge (not just the spring a metal piece) so they would be able to identify it for replacement. This, in my opinion, was ludicrous since it is obvious that the Model Number was sufficient to identify all parts used in manufacture. Besides, I would have had to hire this done as I am an old retired chemist with arthritis. Since the cabinet door seemed to be relatively unaffected, I decided to ignore the problem. Now, several months later in 2021, a second hinge (the upper one) duplicated what the first one did, launching another piece of metal across the room, barely missing my wife's head. I have one "good" hinge remaining and it is at my eye level. If it performs like the other two, I could lose an eye and this would likely result in legal action. I hope this doesn't happen as I value my eyesight but I think this cabinet and others that utilize the spring-loaded hinges should be recalled and replaced with safer products and that the installations should be performed by reputable installers at no cost to the customers.

Perfect for Recessing!
It took me so long to find this for my unique space. I was a little leary because of some of the reviews regarding the hinges and I was downsizing but I am very happy with my decision. It has plenty of room. Looks amazing. Functions wonderfully so far ( it’s only been a month lol)
So much better than a frameless look!

Parts breaking after installation
I just recently remodeled my bathroom and fell in love with this mirror at Home Depot. I’ve been enjoying my mirror (it’s been a few months) until today when I noticed that pieces of the hardware holding the door broke and it’s not properly working. I’m afraid now the door itself is going to fall off and ruin my newly remodeled bathroom. I’m extremely disappointed and do not recommend this product.

I really love this medicine cabinet / mirror. Was looking for something with a little “bling” to liven up our bathroom in a recent remodel; it looks classy, adds visual interest with a little bit of a “wow” factor without being over the top. Looks great, feels solid. One drawback is that the glass shelves inside sit on top of little brackets provided with the cabinet, but they don’t attach to those brackets in any way; this means it would be easy to accidentally dislodge one of them by being careless. Our contractor suggested that once we decide for sure that the shelves are where we want them, we could add a dab of glue to hold them in place to prevent any accidents.

This attractive and functional medicine cabinet exceeded my expectations. It is well designed with fog-free mirror space on the inside as well as the outside. There is plenty of shelf space along with plastic bins to keep smaller items organized. And the cabinet's brushed nickel frame has added an elegant decorative touch to my newly remodeled bathroom.
