Q:I have a 102 sliding door that will accommodate wall mounts on either side of the window, but nothing in between. Will this support panels that weigh about 9 pounds (total), or do I need to use two thinner, lighterweight panels to help block light?

A:  Dear BD1792. 9 pounds will not be a a problem, but you will need to use 3 brackets when mounting this rod set. Will your sliding door accommodate a center bracket?

    A:  Hi Tessie, Sorry for any confusion with this Mix and Match program. This Double Rod Conversion Kit includes a Brushed Nickel 50 in. - 144 in. (two-piece) 3/4 in. telescoping pole; with end caps, 3 double rod brackets, and mounting hardware. Often customers already have the 1 in. curtain rod and they want you to upgrade to a double curtain rod arrangement. But if you don’t have the 1” rod to complete this kit, to be honest, maybe the best thing might be to visit your nearest Home Depot Store; take your rod set with you and ask the assistant if they can help you buy the 1 in. Brushed Nickel rod needed to complete your set. In this Mix and Match program, you have about 6 options, if available in stock, or you can buy other branded products if they have the same BR finish.       A:  Dear Tessie. It is a conversion rod set. So you have Double Brackets and 1 Rod Set in one package. In addition to this, you can purchase any other 1" Rod Set and it will be Double Rod. It is like Mix & Match. You choose what design will be in the front.
