The shelves are not adjustable, but you could leave a shelf out during assembly to create a larger cubicle.

When you put it together can you make it to where some cubbies are taller? Like leave some shelving out? (for boots)

    This shoe cabinet is of good quality wood and paint. The color looks gray in the box, but when put together and in its place looks like the picture. If someone in your family has extra large shoes they will take up 2 spaces. This isn’t a problem for us because there are plenty. We us the extras for other necessities like shoe polish and even umbrellas. Top drawers are for keys, dog leashes and halters for us. When the shoe cabinet went on sale shortly after purchase I called customer service. They reimbursed the different. Great customer service!

    This cabinet really is beautiful. My husband put it together in about 4 hours. Towards the end, as he was screwing the doors on, two of the screws broke and now they are stuck in the cabinet but not holding the door on. Right now the door is completely off. Not what we expected for this price.
