TERRIBLE SMELL!
I absolutely love the idea and style of this double hamper and I was very excited to add it to my hall bath - One side for clothes and the other side for bath towels. We’ll, we have had this hamper for about 10 months now and it is starting to fall apart. The one side is the paint is cracking and the wood is separating. It also has maintained this incredibly awful chemical smell for the entire time we’ve had it. I thought it would air out, but it still absolutely reeks. Awful product.

Where to begin... This hamper wouldn't be that bad if it were about $80 bucks but at $199, you could definitely say it's WAY OVER PRICED. It is easy to assemble IF you are handy and don't need to follow directions. If you need to follow the directions, good luck because the directions are a complete joke and since they are illegible, I did not know I was missing the most important pieces; the part that allows the hamper to tilt. They give you a paper that says "if you are missing any parts, please contact us for replacements." Okay, that's great! Do you think they provide a phone number, email address, SOMETHING to actually get a hold of them? Of course not! Now we are Googling a customer service number for this company.. finally find one. After being on the phone with what we thought was a 3rd grader, we got absolutely nowhere! The customer service representative had absolutely no idea how to help us nor get us replacement parts; might as well been talking to a brick wall. After all that frustration, we just decided to order another one just to get the parts that we needed and then return it. This whole experience with this order was just absolutely ridiculous!
After moving into our new house, we did a bathroom remodel and where our old, small RV size of a shower was just happened to be the exact width of the hamper. I decided to rip apart the hamper and customize it to our liking. I even switched out the knobs and installed stainless steel pulls. Don't mind it that much as a built in but as far as a stand alone hamper, I would not recommend it. It's not worth the price that it's sold for.

It was not great to put together. I'm glad you don't see the back end of it. If you plan on using this as a trash and recycling bin like I was, most cans will not fit. Only teeny tiny ones could fit and that would be really hard to always have to change the garbage all the time. Better to alter a bigger can. I had to cut the cans down to make them fit inside. If there wasn't such a large space from the inside top and where a can would go (wasted space which has a decorative top and three inches of wood) then the cans might fit. But this is supposed to be a hamper. For a hamper... It is super SUPER SMALL. Better as a trash can. It looks nice when it's finished being put together

I think this has the potential to be a great item ...... but the assembly is "NOT" EASY primarily...
I think this has the potential to be a great item ...... but the assembly is "NOT" EASY primarily due to poor instructions. After spending a full day assembling this item - it turned out to be defective. The one tilt out compartment is misaligned so it does not close at all. I am not sure if the hinge is defective, or if the whole for the hinge in side "B" is not aligned properly.
I contacted Home Decorators/Home Depot & am awaiting a solution. I am worried that this problem will not be resolved & I will have wasted over $200 on a defective item.

Warning: Review bin measurements!!! They are super small!!! I wished they made it proper size and it would be perfect. Good for dirty kitchen towels and washcloths or maybe a smalla toddler.

would not buy it again.
Smelled so bad we had to sit it in the garage for weeks and then still had to paint the inside with odor killing primer. Also there is no way to use it without the cloth bags that attach via velcro since the inside is rough wood and will snag clothes put into the hamper without the bags. Of course it is also easy to hit the velcro when tossing clothing into the hamper which also could cause a snag.
