Chips and Scratches
I bought less than a year ago & right away they started showing scratching lines. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe my kids had dug in w/ their forks, but NO even the coffee cups have them. Every plate has a chip in it.

Scratches easily
The quality of this dinnerware is horrible. Every plate and bowl in this set now have scratches after being used. It also chips easily. It looks like it would be sturdy stoneware but it is not. Bought for everyday use. Would definitely NOT recommend. This is the 1st thing I have bought from Home Depot that I have been disappointed in.

So, it's a set of home dishes from Home Depot. What do you expect? Are they worth displaying in your antique curio cabinet? No. Do they work fine for day-to-day household dishes? YES! They are pretty simplistic, just white, generic dishes. They have little ridges on the sides and they match well. They came shipped snug, and nothing was broken, which is saying a lot of dish shipping these days.
I have no hesitation about using them or recommending others to try them out!
Wash them before using them! They are made in China!

This a great dinnerware set. The rings design surrounding the tops of the pieces are a nice accent but minimal enough that this set is great to mix and match with other white dinnerware. I have four kids and these have been in heavy rotation since we got them and no scratches or chips. We've been putting them through the dishwasher and microwave without any problems. My favorite thing is the smaller plate. It's something we call a blate in our house--a cross between a plate and a bowl. Basically it's a plate with a generous rim height. It's really great for salads. Overall a great set.

Well packaged and the information from the Home Depot website regarding this dinnerware set, is accurate. Opening the packages, I found no defects. The set is of average weight. The color is consistent on each piece. I love the design as it is different, but practical with style. Stoneware is pottery baked at a very high temperature, which eliminates the porous elements of the clay. That makes for a more durable product. This set is glazed as far as I can tell, which enhances the finish. It is a nice product.

This review is for the Kempton 16-Piece White Stoneware Dinnerware Set (Service for 4) by Home Decorators Collection. I got this set for my daughter who is moving into her first home and she is thrilled with them ! This is a great looking, high quality dinnerware set; they look far more expensive than they really are. The pieces are far heavier that they look, solid and thick material. The set comes with 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, four bowls and 4 mugs. The plates have a nice lip edge to them, and the salad plate is particularly deep, which will help keep sauces, etc... from spilling over the side. The set is both microwave safe and dishwasher safe.

These dishes are really elegant with the embossed lines around them. The dinner plates and the small plates have a nice coupe-shape which makes the meal look fancy as well as keeping any liquids from running off the plate. The mugs are a perfect size for coffee and tea. This set also has a nice heavy quality. The bowls are perfect for soups or cereal. The packaging of the product was excellent.

Wow, I really love the look of this dish set! It can pretty match any decor but definitely has a modern vibe to it with the horizontal stripe. Although it's stoneware it isn't excessively heavy either. I especially love the salad/pasta bowl with the upturned sides which not only gives it a really great modern vibe but also helps to keep stuff from sliding off your plate! Dishwasher and microwave safe too.Definitely a higher quality product.

The Kempton 16-Piece White Stoneware Dinnerware Set from Home Depot is very nice and pleasing.It is very elegant and good for everyday use. The grooves on the plates and bowls give a better nonslip grip for handling.
The dinner plates, the salad plates, and bowls are all pretty big, and you will not be disappointed.
It is microwave and dishwasher safe, so it is easy to handle for everyday use. Overall, a great dinnerware set for a good price.

I would recommend Home Decorators Collection Kemton Dinnerware Set. This set comes in 16 pieces, four dinner plates, four salad plated, four bowls and four mugs. This stoneware set can be used for both Formal settings and casual settings. They really work year round. They can go into the dishwasher or microwave. Cleaning them is easy in either the sink or Dishwasher. Subtle clean lines are a nice added touch.
