Kitteridge 52 in. LED Indoor Matte Black Ceiling Fan with Light Kit

Was looking for a simpler fan was tried of the ones that overpowered the whole room with there big light kits, etc. This one was perfectly simple. Bought 2 with no light and one with light. They were easy to install and run quiet and smooth. Only thing that I didn't like was the wall control that comes with it. When your sliding the lever up to turn fan on it starts with high then medium then low? Why would it go to high first? Kinda weird but not a big deal probably will replace switch. Overall I this is a great simple fan and I would buy again.

This ceiling fan is 52” wide so it is good for an average size room. There is a light kit that comes with it. It is a flat light cover that is plastic. The fan blades are not reversible. They fit one way onto the motor assembly. They are plastic. It comes with a wall control. The instructions are very good. They explain how to get the light fan mounted to the electrical box in the ceiling joist for stability. It is for indoor use only. There are three speeds. The assembly requires minimal tools.

Very cool skinny, industrial style fan. The brushed-look blades are very nice with the same finish on both sides. The fan direction is reversible and the switch is located inconspicuously on the top of the motor. The LED packs a lot of lumens for a small unit and the fan does run smoothly, providing good air circulation with no wobble. The only thing aesthetically that I notice is that there is no ceiling trim piece to cover the screws at the top of the fixture. I likely only notice it because I installed it. The unit itself is lightweight and easy to install with simple instructions. The instructions for the wall control, however, maybe not so much. Regular one switch set ups will be a breeze, but I have a 2 switch electrical set up for my ceiling fan capable ceiling fixture (one operates the fan, the other the light) and the instructions do not provide a diagram for that type of wiring. If you have a 2 switch setting, it will operate normally without installing the new switch, except that the fan speed can not be adjusted. There is no adjustment chain or switch on the actual fan. I am unsure about the use of a dimmer on a 2 switch set up or whether the LED is dimmer compatible. It took a while to figure out, but I now have the fan wall control wired to the old fan wall switch to adjust speed control and by leaving the light toggle in the 'on' position, it allows normal use of the original light switch. Overall, the fan feels solidly constructed, runs well, and looks great.

The ceiling fan took approximately 30 minutes to install on a newly installed ceiling with a pre-wired outlet box. I already had a baker's rack scaffolding set up and all the tools out already for other work so add some time for getting set up with a ladder. There were no issues with installation and the parts fit well. The instructions were somewhat unclear on some steps and the illustrations of parts could have been better. Installing the included wall plate took only a few minutes. Since the fan does not have pull chain switches then it cannot be separately controlled unless wired to the switch. The fan runs fine and is quiet. The light is practically a spotlight. It gives of little light off to the sides as the LED bulb array is pointed straight down.

Recommended as long as you have the wiring, if you don't have a controller wall switch from a previous fan you will need to run three wire conductors for control wires to the fan from the wall switch. Quit, no wobble, good up to a 23º slope, easy install and plenty of light for a good size room that would need a 52" fan. I did have trouble when on of the wire connectors for the light fixture pulled off the wire. Opened it up with an awl, slide the wire in and crimped it and it still slid out. A longer wire jumper and crush type connecters made the repair. In the photo with the light on you will see a box I built for a previous fan that work only in very low slope, not need on this installation.

This is a wonderful fan and light kit. I love that the fan comes with a light/fan switch. Really makes for easy adjustments to the fan speed and all in one switch. The low energy LED bulbs are the perfect brightness for a bedroom. I've installed several fans and this one was similar with the exception of the switch. I wasn't sure how installing the switch so I consulted an electrician to make sure it was wired properly. Everything looks great, I'm impressed with the look and function of this beautiful fan.

This Home Decorators Collection Kitteridge 52 inch indoor matte black ceiling fan with LED light kit is a great looking modern style fan at a great price from Home Depot. You should note that this fan has a wall control and needs a three wire connection from the wall box to the fan. Some fans only have a power lead to the fan and use a remote control to control the fan and light. This is a indoor fan but can be used outside in a covered area that is protected from the weather. I was glad to see the motor assembly comes with very long wires as I will be replacing a older fan that is on a long down rod and I do not have to splice any wires. I tried the LED light and as it is not dimmable it does give off a nice bright light. I have been very pleased with Home Decorators products in the past and look forward to years of service from this fan. According to the instruction book the motor has a lifetime warranty and all other parts have a one year warranty but the Home Depot web site states a five year warranty.

This fan makes our master bedroom look fantastic. It will give your room a bit of a facelift. I really like how it provides a classic/contemporary look. This fan would go well with many different styles. It is flatter than other fans I’ve had before, which is a nice feature when the ceilings aren’t very high. It made the room look more spacious. The quality of all the materials looks very good. It is all very well put together. Installation is simple, similar to most other fans out in the market. Two people would make the job easier, but one person can perform the whole installation without any issues. One feature I liked was that the blades seem to be made out some sort of high quality plastic. The light is an LED lamp. Like many other LED lamps, you will have to buy a replacement if it burns out. Hopefully these replacements are available in the future. I found this fan to be very quiet compared to my old ones. One very important thing to keep in mind is that you need a 3 wire conductor going to your light from the switch in order for this product to work. I had to run a new conductor since mine was a 2 wire one.

This is a pretty cool fan. It looks good when spinning but the blades look cheap when stopped. The blades are made of some type of plastic and they don't look very good. I'm surprised that this isn't an outdoor fan. Why else would the blades be plastic. The assembly was pretty easy. I chose to flush mount it but I could have done a down rod or slanted ceiling. Attaching it to the ceiling is straight forward. Just like most fans today. Blade attachment was easy. Only 2 screws per blade and they're not difficult to get to. Once assembly is complete, you can't see the blade's screws (see photo). The light kit was one of the easiest I've done. Attach the 2 plugs and lift it into place. Give it a slight turn and it's locked in. The light's cover goes in just like most fans Overall it's a good fan. I don't like the plastic but the ease of installation makes up for it

As far as installation of ceiling fans goes, this was about as easy as any I have installed. Directions are straight forward and fairly simple. I cant speak to the switch component as I connected it to an outlet that already had a separate light and fan switch. I installed it on a sloped ceiling so I used an extension and even with that it didn't have any wobble. It looks really nice and puts out a great amount of light for a large room and s probably in the 3000K color temperature range. It does move air really well, but I do wish it had just a little more air movement, I think it's plenty for a large room, but I like the wind feel. like 15% more and it would be perfect for me. But even with that it's a great value and a quality fan.
