I mounted it flush and it easily moves the air throughout the workshop. The remote control unit is a handy item, no more reaching for the pull chains. LED lights are the way to go now, no more dim lights. I mounted the fan blades with the distressed wood finish, but that's a personal preference.

Very impressive sealing fan. Some important information that typically isn't easy to find in a review. The blades are at a 15 degree angle. There are 9 different speeds possible. The amount of air that moves with this blades are VERY impressive. The motor is extremely smooth and you can not hear any motor noise at all. The only sound is the from the blades themselves moving the air. This reviewer was very impressed with the air movement. Fan can be mounted with a down rod configuration. In that case, the unit is about 15" off the ceiling. The installation I did was the "ceiling mount" configuration and I measured this installation at 9" off the ceiling. Installation is typical for this type of fan. You do have to assemble each fan blade with 3 screws. Finish on all materials is solid and well finished. Installation has to be done step by step, but when done, fan looks like a single solid unit. This reviewer found that extremely high end when completed. Remote control is solid with many different options. Was able to control the light up to 25 feet away. Only negative, is that there is no wall mount for the remote. Vendor might want to think about supplying a wall mount to allow placement in the room. Currently, mine sits on the table, but I can see how it could be misplaced. Without the remote the light and fan can not be controlled.

A very clean and modern unit that out performs our old unit while using less electricity. The combination of a DC motor and LED lighting reduces both energy consumption and noise. The construction is very solid and the materials used are thicker and appear to be of better quality than many ceiling fans I've installed---and I've installed a lot of ceiling fans. We found the ceiling fan motor to be surprisingly quite. Our old fan appears to create greater wind velocity, but this unit seems to move more air volume meaning that it helps cool the room much better even though it is quieter and possibly slower. We've had to turn down the air conditioning after installing this unit. This unit uses mostly hidden fasteners and those that are visible are recessed and have a balanced look that blends well into the overall appearance. The light output is a little disappointing, but it is only 14 watts after all. This really doesn't affect us much since we have enough natural lighting during the day and use two lamps for reduced lighting at night anyway. The button on the remote could be bigger so that you can find it easier in the dark. Being able to dim the light is quite nice though. I installed this unit flush the the ceiling and there is no shaking for vibrations. The spinning housing that holds the blades is very slightly out of true, but isn't noticeable unless you are examining it minutely. The instructions were pretty good but here are some things to keep in mind for installation: 1. The fan is fairly heavy so a helper is advised. 2. The bracket is a very tight fit to the house and might take some force to insert. 3. A #3 philips is required along with a #2 philips. #3 screwdrivers aren't included in many sets. 4. No 10-32 screws are provided to mount the bracket to the ceiling box. You will have to supply your own screws and preferred washers. You may also need to provide your own wire nut for the ground wire depending on how your ceiling box is wired. 5. Flush mounting is very close. If your ceiling box is recessed you'll have to add a spacer to it.

We have had a dated ceiling fan in our bedroom forever but I've kept it b/c it got the job done. However, I was really excited when I saw this one. It's just the look I was going for--not so sleek as to be contemporary, but not fussy and old-fashioned. I LOVE the option to have the blades face down to be gray or a wood-like finish (it's a great brown--no orangey tones, instead the slightest gray undertones). The nickel is great, too! Brushed finished, high end look to the metal. Full disclosure--I can't comment on installation b/c I paid my electrician to do it. We have SUPER high ceilings and it's worth every penny, especially since the fan is reasonably priced, to not have to hold this over my head on a high ladder! But the instructions are comprehensive and well-written so I think with standard ceilings a confident beginning DIYer could tackle this. I LOVE the remote. So many great options on it including a timer and option to reverse the fan direction depending on whether you need it for warm or cool weather cooling. Great fan! I'm going to include some detail shots of the finishes up close before it was installed so you can really see the tones.

It is very well built with sturdy heavy gage components. The electrical connections are accessible and ready for installation. This fan is not only beautiful but efficient and practicably noiseless. After I installed this super nice fan/light combination in a bedroom it may wind up going in my living room. The wing span on this model is quite impressive. Having several remote controlled ceiling fans I love this control the most. Separate options for flow of blades, light control, fan speed and comfort breeze settings. Comfort breeze has 3 setting options; #1 alternates speed from 1-3—- #2 alternates speed 1-6 and #3 alternates speed 1-9. Having a timer is also a major addition. You can set the light and/or fan to be on for 2 hours/4 hours/8 hours and it has a disable button with it. I used the close-to-ceiling mount and not the standard ceiling mount option. One photo shows the two color options for fan blades. Stylish, well made and easy installation makes for an excellent choice.

The pictures provided by HD don't do the justice to this fan! It's a sleek-looking (modern?) fan with outstanding features and design. All came packaged well and double-bagged parts. Additional bolts included. We installed our fan flush with a ceiling (flat horizontal surface). Instructions on flush mounting are clear in the booklet to follow. Assembly is straight-forward. ABSOLUTELY quite fan and puts out quite a bit of air flow! The only "noise" one can hear from the fan is at the initial stage of starting the motor - very subtle. The remote is quite intelligent. We haven't used the "smart" function of speed variations on it yet. But includes timer settings as well that work perfectly. Batteries for the remote are included. The only "miss" on remote design is we wish the button for the light was a bit larger or easy to identify in the dark. No bracket to hang the remote on the wall included. The light is LED, by the way. No bulbs to mess with. Light can be dimmed via remote. On a full setting it lights-up our office (20x15) quite well. Fan blades are reversible with one side silver and another of grey wood-look (weathered). Some important points to consider: 1. The quality is OUTSTANDING! 2. Lifetime warranty on motor. 3. If you are installing this fan - make sure the receptacle is not plastic. The unit is not heavy, but plastic will not support this fan - you either need to install a metal one or a support bracket. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! A+

Easy installation. Looks great. Was not sure about going with a four blade design, but it moves the air very well.

Very easy to assemble and good fan with DC motor. Had some quality issues with a couple where one of them didn’t have the screw threads for the blade and one fan light housing wouldn’t work. Had to return both but otherwise good fan for the value
