The higher stability and unique construction of Strand Woven Bamboo allows for the installation methods of glue down or Elastilon installation over multiple subfloors on or above grade. Whether installing over a concrete subfloor or suitable plywood or OSB, this flooring has you covered. An existing home should have a consistent room temperature of 65°F - 75°F and relative humidity (RH) of 40% - 55%. Looks nice upon install but scratches extremely easily
Do not buy this in java. It scratches extremely easily. I can’t imagine if I had a dog these would be destroyed in a heartbeat. Already can’t have anyone wear shoes. Scratches Looks like white hairs. A plastic laundry basket sliding On the floor will scratch it. I regret not listening to other reviewers.

While we have only had them a few weeks, we absolutely LOVE our new floors. We had the entire downstairs professionally installed and have since decided to have it installed in our upstairs as well. We have a very old home (115 years) so we wanted to find something that would maintain that 'old home charm'. After much research (over the course of a year in fact), we kept coming back to this Honey Solid Bamboo flooring. The distressed look/color goes very well with our old home. The varying size/colors of the planks make for a beautiful as you can see by the pictures. Few quick tips. If your floors are uneven at all, have these professionally installed. Our installer was beating these pretty good with a mallet to get them into place. If you are taking these out of the box yourself to acclimate to your home, you may want to wear gloves or you will get a healthy share of splinters from the underside of the wood. Finally, do yourself a favor and have them delivered to your home if possible, these boxes were heavy.

Purchased Distressed Dark Honey over 800 SQ feet of this product. I did not use the glue down option instead opted for 18 Gauge 1 inch crown staples. It looks a lot better once installed then in the store display or the sample. Few bad pieces from the 39 boxes that I ordered but that was expected. We searched a lot before making this purchase and even missed out on a 20% off on these floors but are very happy. Only time will tell how they hold up but so far so good.

        Distressed honey color
Looks awesome! We love the dark wood color and we only had ~20 unusable boards throughout 20 packs due to either very light coloration or a defect in the tongue and groove. We love them. Installation was harder than expected due to the glue as DIYers. Also, the distressed look should really help hide scratches and imperfections.

          Highly recommended affordable flooring
I went with distressed dark honey. Looks fantastic. Love the variation in color. Had it down for over a year now and holds up fine to my big, crazy dog. My two cents: * I like the solid over the click option. I've installed both. The click option couldn't be easier to install (did a whole living room in a day with the click) but your floor needs to be very level and the underlayment is pretty expensive. * I nailed it down. Yes that voids the warranty apparently but when am I going to return a floor? The glue is very expensive and I'm not gluing anything down to my sub floor. My flooring nailer didn't work on this since it's so hard so I used a finish nailer. Another no-no probably but between the tongue and groves and finish nails, the floor isn't going anywhere. * Had maybe 2 or 3 boards out of 12 boxes that were a little too "distressed". Not a big deal. Probably would have looked fine anyway and I want some extras on hand.

Really liked the quality and durability of the bamboo. Was easy to cut using a miter and skill saw and installed using 18 gauge cleat nails which I would highly recommend over the glue method. The 1/2" thickness gives it a more solid feel and with similar noise levels of thicker hardwood. The distressed look is very impressive and works with any décor with the black edges giving the finish a more dimensional look. The three different sized board widths provides a distinctive rustic pattern. Only had for 1 month and receiving numerous favorable comments on its looks.

This floor is absolutely beautiful. Our contractor was very pleased with how well it was made. It looks like it will be very durable. We put it in our 200 year old Victorian house and it looks just like we had hoped, like they are the original floors! I want to do more rooms in it now. I would definitely recommend this floor!

Installed last year as floating floor with glued joints over osb subfloor with good underlay. This floor is awesome! Looks beautiful and is tough enough to withstand shoes, occasional spills and multiple large active dogs. I have used other pricier bamboos and this by far has been the easiest install with the same excellent results. Do expect some movement/ expansion with humidity changes so be sure to leave suggested expansion spaces and you will love your floors. The mild distressed look masks any slight blemishes in the highest traffic areas.

Absolutely beautiful. My only issue was the packaging - a couple of end pieces were damaged. Otherwise, the floor looks phenomenal at a steal of a price - significantly cheaper than many others we considered and stands up to scratches better. We used Home Depot's 3rd party installer - did not do ourselves - but they nailed it down beautifully in a day's work for 2 small bedrooms

Great product and easy to install. Everyone loves the honey color! Used it in our new bonus room with lots of kid traffic. One suggestion is better nail-down instructions. Do NOT use a 15/16 gauge floor nailer with floor staples or cleats (FC or FS from Depot). They will split the tongue. Ended up getting an 18 gauge floor stapler with adjustable shoe and worked like a charm. One inch staples are all that were needed on new T+G 3/4 sub-floor.

Great flooring and a terrific look
We decided to convert our 3 season porch to a 4 season. Gutted the room, added insulation, vapor barrier, heat, new floors, ceiling, sheetrock, wood trim and wall stone tile. The room draws compliments all the time. All materials purchased @ Home Depot. Some before and after pics

                Very pleased with this flooring
We were looking for solid flooring that could be nailed down. Though this is solid bamboo, the distressed finish and edge markings give a very traditional appearance - it looks much more like well-cared-for, aged wood than bamboo. The price was great, and it came well-packaged, with a very consistent package-to-package appearance. Every piece was usable, and I couldn't be more pleased.

                Great looking floor!
Paid a contractor to put it in. He said it was a great product. No pieces that couldn't be used. There are 3 sizes but 2 of the 3 are very similar. That confused the contractor We get tons of compliments. Have 4 teenagers and a dog and it's held up great for the last 7 months with lots of friends over as well. Was afraid the black lines around the edges (makes it look beveled but it's not really) might hold dirt but they don't and the floor looks clean even when it's not, lol. Lots of color variation (light to dark) which I love. PIcs are taken at night with inside lighting which makes it look a bit darker and more red than it probably is.

                Great Hardwood Floor
This is a very nice-looking floor. While some may not like the fact that it does not have a uniform appearance, I find it to be a great look. There are 2 different widths, and 3 or 4 different hues to the different planks, including one that looks like it came from the Tiger Stripe set. Once it is completed and the entire project is visible, however, it becomes clear that this is the intended look. The floor has a randomized look that makes it seem more realistic. I had a contractor do the installation as this is way above my abilities. To be fair, most home improvement projects are above my abilities, so I'm not sure what the real difficulty level is. Make sure that you get the proper flooring glue (special for bamboo flooring and not the general hardwood glue), tongue and groove glue, appropriate glue trowel, and hardwood cleaning wipes.

High quality and a Less Expensive Option.
The floor installed extremely well and looks GREAT. I have found it extremely scratch resistant. I was trying to do the job on the cheap, and here are some lessons learned. First, the finished floor I think looks better than other brands of bamboo flooring because the variable wide planks add a real unique and rustic flavor. This is not the floor for a high formal room, but more of a farmhouse or industrial vibe. So as not to invalidate the warranty (as my installer insisted) the floor must be glued down. Even though sold by HomeDepot, the HomeDepot services would not lay the floor - I had to hire an independent floor installer. While I really like the hardwood option, because it feels so substantial, the installation would have been less expensive if I went with the Engineered click option, verses the solid wood. And finally, it pays to open all your cartons and mix up the planks of the same size so you get a consistent mixture of lighter and darker planks.

We love this flooring. We installed the Strand Woven Antiqued Harvest 1/2 in. a few years ago, but didn't order enough to finish the master bedroom. The distressed dark honey was the closest match so we decided to go with that. It matches pretty good . The original flooring included nailing instructions but the newer flooring says glue only. It is the same exact flooring so we laid down tar paper and nailed it the subflooring like we did the original flooring. Others complained about warping when glued but we haven't had any issues.
