AnswersI was not able to find this exact remote, but any universal fan remote should work. Home Depot has a few here: https://www.homedepot.com/s/universal%2520fan%2520remote?NCNI-5 They aren't as inexpensive as I would like though. Just make sure the available buttons have the features you would use. Good luck!

AnswersYES!!! The secret is to NOT use the on/off button to turn the fan on. You have to use the fan speed button to make the fan come on. I spent days trying to do additional remote resets that a service technician representative sent over, with no luck. Only after reading other reviews did I find this out.

I order two of these fans at the end of November as part of a larger order. We just got around to installing them about two weeks ago when the weather warmed up. My burn happy husband already burned the boxes and I wish he hadn't. I would return these if I could. The CFMs listed on the website is NOT correct. What you will get is equivalent to waving your hand in front of your face. I would only recommend if you want a fan more for looks rather than traditional fan use of cooling the place down. The number of blades does not make a difference. When looking for a fan, the higher the CFMs, the better. Something to do with the airflow per cubic feet per minute. I am not a pro so this may be incorrect. For my porch, two fans with at least 4,000ish cfms should be sufficient, but not in this case. As far as looks, they are very pleasing to the eye. My husband and son installed them and it did not take them too long. They are lightweight. The remote works and is handy. The remote has a stand that you can screw into something. There are no chains, you can only use the fan with the remote (or maybe a switch). The fan did NOT meet my expectations and it was not worth the purchase. I have to research better fans now.

Remote / Receiver Issues Prevent Fan From Working
As a couple other reviews have noted here, this fan (or at least a good number of them) do not work. I ordered one, did not work, electrician verified that motor was getting power and thus, the issue was with the 'guts' of fan. So (unwisely) I returned and ordered a new one, guess what? Same issue, it wasn't until I read someone elses review on here that said if you hold down power for forty seconds and then hit fan increase speed button, the fan will turn on. It worked, but this is really entirely unacceptable as a day-to-day means of operating a fan. Home Depot should not be in the business of selling fans that have a known defect with the remote/receiver function. Obviously I will be returning and not buying a third, but in the meantime, I'm out electrician fees so really displeased with the experience.

Remote is frustrating but pleased in the end
We bought three for our outdoor porch. The remote did give us some issues with the first fan. My husband held the remote directly beside the fan during programming and the other two programmed with ease. I don't think we'll use the remote a lot since our fans operate with a master (light) on/off switch on the wall. The fans hold the memory so we'll just keep them on high most of the time. The fans move air well, and I LOVE the way they look. We've gotten so many compliments.

Beautiful modern outdoor fan
I replaced 5 patio fans with drooping wood blades. Assembly was easy, the manual has a few hiccups. Best to assemble on the ground before hanging (it is lightweight and easy to plop into the bracket before wiring). The fans look great and push a lot of air on a low power budget. I like the functionality (6 speed, breeze mode, reverse operation, timer, and ability to turn on and off from a simple wall switch without loosing the last setting).
As many others, I had problems with the remote control. You have to be patient as the fan is slow to respond to the commands. Important to know that the power button will not turn the fan on. It is an off button only. Turn the switch on by pushing the speed button. Still, the remote does not always register at the first try, which is a problem when you plan to integrate these fans with the bond bridge. After reading all the reviews about remote trouble I think this is a design error and Home Depot should not sell the smart fan package until this is solved by the manufacturer. For now I use 4 remotes, one operates two fans together and three are used for the individual fans you see in the picture. I am happy with the setup and I like the look of these fans a lot. No wobble, perhaps a bit higher wind noise than traditional blade fans at high speed but nothing that I can’t live with. I recommend the fans and I would buy them again if they last and don’t break.

Don’t know how they let this out of the factory.
My wife and I liked the way these fans looked and purchased three in different finishes for our new house, master bedroom, living room and back porch. Instillation was easy and I got two installed fairly quickly. When I tried to test them the remote didn’t seem to work and the instructions didn’t give any kind of help. Sometimes the fan responds to the remote but most of the time it doesn’t. There’s no rhyme or reason to what turns the fan on or function in any way. You’d think the power button would turn it on and off and the speed up and down buttons would increase and decrease the fan speed but that’s not the case. It has become ridiculously frustrating and the directions are worthless!! There’s no mention of what turns the fan on and apparently the power button doesn’t do that! Now after three days of moving into a new house, all the unpacking, reassembling and installing, I’m going to have to pull these things back down and return them because someone at the factory thought it would be a good idea to send these thing out without bothering to check if they actually worked!! Save yourself a ton of aggravation and frustration and DO NOT BUY THESE!!

Does not work
The style is pretty. However, the fan only works from the remote. The receiver is hidden in the blades and doesn’t work. Manufacturer’s customer service admitted to the issue and promised they are working on a solution. I just don’t know if the solution will work. As of right now, the only way I can operate it is kill the power, hold the power on button for 40 seconds, inxrease the speed and then it turns on. It works for few minutes then the remote is not responsive. Would not recommend this product at all.
