Honeywell Evaporative Air Coolers are an environmentally-friendly and cost-friendly cooling option for your home. Much like a breeze flowing across a lake or the refreshing cool air you feel near a waterfall, air coolers produce a comfortable, cool breeze with the natural process of water evaporation. When warm air is drawn into the Honeywell Evaporative Cooler, it is filtered through a wet honeycomb cooling medium, which absorbs heat and naturally cools and humidifies the air. A powerful fan pushes the cool air out of the front of the unit into the surrounding area. This no-compressor system cools naturally, efficiently and inexpensively. Evaporative Air Coolers are more effective in areas with maximum relative humidity of 60% or less. Warm, dry air is important for more effective evaporative cooling and the temperature decrease will be greater in drier environments because higher evaporation occurs when the humidity is low.
Outdoor Evaporative Cooler or Swamp Cooler is Ideal for long open rooms, patio/ BBQ areas, garage, deck, backyard, warehouse
Performs best in hot/dry climates where humidity levels are <60% such as desert areas like the southwestern United States
High-pressure blower produces vigorous, long airflow for long spaces. Low Water Alarm, Automatic Off timer & remote control for easy maintenance. Beverage holder & small storage compartment included.
NOT an Air Conditioner and NOT a Mist Fan - Environmentally Friendly Evaporative Air cooler reduces temperature through water evaporation. Moist, cool breeze can cool you down without spraying floor and furniture with water!
Super Low power consumption, copper continuous water supply connection & JUMBO Honeywell Honeycomb Cooling Pads for optimal evaporative cooling all day long. Durable wheels & light body for easy mobility and storage (Product Size: 17 x 22.4 x 44.5 inches, Sound level at high speed: approx. 61dB)
3-in-1 Cooling, Humidification and Fan
Cools like a fresh breeze flowing across a lake
High speed blower for high velocity air throw (powerful 830-1000 CFM airflow)
Remote Control, Low water alarm and energy saving timer
Continuous water supply connection for long unattended operation
Beverage holder and small storage compartment
Recommended for area up to 460 Sq.ft (43 Sq. m)* - Cooling area depends on room conditions, such as humidity.
Feather touch electronic control panel
Non-compressor system cools naturally, efficiently and inexpensively

Easy to use portable cooler. It's tall at just under 45 inches, but it's lightweight and has easy to roll wheels.
Portability is the key component of this cooler. Honeywell designed it with a low power draw so there is no problem running it on the extension cord, however, the unit is supplied with a 10 foot long cord that works perfect for me. Then the option to run on a garden hose or fill from a side filling port that gives the freedom of not having a hose draped across my patio. Just fill with water, power and go!
The Honeywell can be used indoor but an evaporative cooler adds moisture to the air and I live in Louisiana which already has high humidity levels. But the Honeywell cooler still drops the temperature 10 - 15 degrees, depending on the humidity level outside.
I use the cooler for mostly on my patio. It is quite enough to talk even with the fan running on high speed.
The cooler has a number of features including a wireless remote (that operates all the features of the cooler console), two fan speed options, swing mode that directs the air side to side and a feature that allows you to run the cooler with just the fan.
It is well built, durable and easy to clean the inside. There is very little maintenance for the cells.
The only "con" I have is the difficulty with the drain plug. You have to almost tilt the cooler to remove the plug because of the low clearance of the cooler but other than that I really love this addition for our patio.

This cooler will help in the desert heat. It moves plenty of air, especially on high. Our garage is uninsulated so it gets quite hot in the summer, and this will help when I have work to do there. My little 8X8 shop is attached to the garage, and this is a bit big for just that room, so I'll have to set it back a ways. I put it on the back porch to see how it works there. Ambient temp was 86. Relative humidity was 20%. Like any evaporative cooler the pads had to get good and wet before we saw much change in temp. Discharge air got down to 66, a 20 degree drop. No difference in temp drop with high or low. speed. Not too bad, though I get close to 30 degree drop through the cooler on the house. Of course when the summer rains come, and humidity goes up, the efficiency will drop considerably., and high speed may help a bit. We like the ability to adjust the louvers up and down, and the SWING feature is nice. Not sure yet, how long the 3 gallon sump will take to use before refilling. Knowing my wonderful wife of 45 years, I strongly believe that I'll need to get another (smaller) cooler for my shop because this one will very likely wind up on the porch all summer. Now for the downside. Cord could be longer to allow for better placement without creating a tripping hazard. Though the instructions say not to use an extension cord, for us it will be a necessity. The drain plug is hard to get to. as there is very little space above the floor (see pics below) . Getting it out is tight but OK, but putting it back requires tilting the cooler. My finger would not go under it to get the plug back in. Overall, a nice, attractive cooler.

I've always had a good experience using Honeywell products and their quality, performance and functionality are impressive. My new Honeywell 830cfm 2-speed indoor/outdoor portable evaporative cooler works great and I'd definitely recommend it to use indoors to cool up to 460sf, or it can be used outdoors to cool off the patio, deck, grill area, etc. The two speed fan motor is strong and really pushed some air. It can be manually filled or can be hooked up with a continuous water supply-garden hose. It can be run in the fan mode or cooling mode. The remote control works great and I like the optional mode to have the fan louvers move back and forth. It has wheels for easy moving and a nice space saving design. The instruction manual is very complete and easy to follow. I definitely recommend tis great Honeywell evaporative cooler!

Thank you for your review, We are happy to hear from you. Thank you for choosing Honeywell.
The unit is great for cooling outdoor areas. I use it in my backyard which is fairly large and it cools down the whole place quickly. The water tank is big and keeps it running for long, plus I don't have to worry too much about storage because this thing is pretty sturdy.

I bought this after it was recommended to me by a friend. It noticeably drops the temperature where I have it set up. Love that it's so lightweight so I can move it easily to the patio.

We are sorry to hear this. Our portable evaporative air coolers work best in areas with a dry climate, with humidity levels below 50-60%. These also require ample cross ventilation along with dry heat for optimal cooling. You may need to check the environment conditions of the area you are operating the unit in, in order to ascertain why it did not cool the way it should have. Our customer support team will be able to look into all your concerns and troubleshoot for you. Please call us at 1-800-474-2147, Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (EST), or send us an email at email@example.com with the reference code number THA0921. We look forward to making this right for you. Thank You !

The Honeywell 790 CFM indoor/outdoor evaporative air cooler offers an energy efficient cooling option when the air is hot with low humidity, such as desert areas like the southwestern United States (recommended humidity level is 60% or less for maximum efficiency). Honeywell evaporative air coolers do not require power hungry components like compressors. The low power consumption (only 288-Watt) translates into significant savings on energy bills compared to using air conditioners. Just unpack, add water/ice, plug it in, and use. For outdoor use it is weather resistant, UV protected and has an air-throw up to 9.3 yards. For indoor use, place near an open door or window in an area up to 320 sq. ft. with adequate cross ventilation. For those living in more humid climates, consider portable air conditioning units or window air conditioners for indoor use.
