Ants aren’t even interested
I put a trap where the ants frequent, and not only do they not go into the trap, the ones that go in don’t leave with any bait. I woke up to more ants then when I put out the traps three days ago. Does not work, don’t waste your money and time.

works great
Good price , the small irritating black ants that like to bite are still going in and out of it. It does help if you put it directly where you see them coming in at , less avoidance and more going straight into it , ants do leave a pharamone trail for other ants to follow . So placement can be tricky.

pretty good
I think the ant problem is just one of those seasonal things. That said, we used these bait traps before and the ants went away for quite a while. Theyre back and dont really venture beyond the trap. Took a photo to show that the poison is working. Will keep using this brand

Black ants avoid like the plague
Black ants avoid this bait like Covid. On the other hand, as you can see in the image, Terro works great.

Worked great
For my first pod, I helped one or two of the ants in there, and set out the trap, with the thought it would help the ants establish a trail. Not sure it was necessary, but the ants were all over it the next morning, then gone for a day, then all over it again, then gone for good. A few months later, my wife spotted some other ants in a different area. Set out another trap, and we haven't seen any ants since.
Too bad I can't upload the video. The ants loved it! I have some screenshots from the video here, but the screenshots don't show the ants inside the pod.
My only thought as to why it's not working for some people is maybe this is only good for some type of ants, and not others. Or, maybe the pods they have expired or were not stored properly before they were put to use.
The only complaint is the dog thought it was food, because I was setting it near the dog food. Pretty sure it's not toxic to pets, but still - I did not want her near it. Maybe it could have some kind of a pet deterrent scent added to it? The dog has lost interest to the pod after a while, so we set the second pod out in the open.

While this bait may be good for the little red kitchen ants it does not work for the indoor black ants. We placed 4 traps where the ants roam and they didn't even go in for a quick look!!

For a couple of years, I’ve had “little ants” which I can’t identify (all one size, about 2 mm long, tan head and thorax and black abdomen/gaster). FYI, this is near the Texas Gulf Coast and they are not the common ones found here.
- They enter the dry rot areas of my 12’ x 12’ workshop. So, I stapled two of these bait stations onto the walls (outside) where they enter the dry rot. They immediately swarmed the bait and after a couple of hours they were gone and are still gone after 2 days.
- So, I put the bait stations on two walkway stones which they cross as they travel to/from the building; and – magically – they started actively working it (several swarming it). That was yesterday and the ants are gone from those stones. These are different: varying sizes, mostly black, about 4 mm long. Keep in mind, that’s controlling ants from a large lawn area; it’s amazing. I’m going to buy another package of this bait to have on hand for future use, since it has worked for me. And they are inexpensive.
- It has a peanut butter odor. On this web page it says: kills sugar and grease-feeding ants. So it should work on several species. It also could take a while to eliminate the colony and while it is working, the number of ants will increase at the bait station.
- Also, with the peanut butter odor, dogs could chew it up and ingest it!! The concern is not so much the ant poison ingested, as the plastic trap itself. The plastic traps are non-digestible, non-food items, which can harm your dog's digestive tract. That’s an extremely expensive Vet bill.
- I get a kick out of many replies to Q&A and some reviewers that say the product doesn’t work. They don’t say what, where, when and how they tried it (to comment about their problem). Some say another product worked, but not how they used those products and for what species of ant. They don’t describe the ants, which probably don’t take this bait. The active ingredients are different with different products. Many products state which species on which the bait does or doesn’t work. The mfg should do that for this one.
Attract and kill the ants you see and the ones you don't with Terro Liquid Ant Baits. The liquid, which contains borax, is specifically designed to allow worker ants to consume the product, survive long enough to carry the liquid back to the nest. Ants consume the liquid ant bait and return to the nest where they pass it around to the rest of the colony. The active ingredient in the bait slowly interferes with the ants' digestive systems, ultimately killing them. Since this is a bait product, you will initially see more ants as they are attracted to the liquid but don't worry, this is a good thing. After the bait is consumed, insect populations will begin to decline. Complete control may take up to two weeks. For your convenience, Terro Liquid Ant Baits are easy to use and feature a new and improved snap-off tab design no scissors needed. To open the bait, hold the station vertically and twist the new and improved tab. Then place indoors on a flat surface near ant trails and other signs of ant activity. The more bait placements, the better. Be sure to leave the ant baits undisturbed while the ants are actively feeding on it.
