would I be able to use this to cover beams on a deck by cutting it to 4" wide?

AnswerThe Zip System flashing tape is not recommended for this application. Home Depot does carry a product that is to be used to cover beams on a deck. GCP Vycor 4" Deck protector is the product and here is the link https://www.homedepot.com/p/Grace-Vycor-4-in-Deck-Protector-5003029/302451944

AnswerYou can use 6-inch or 10-inch wide ZIP System tape or you can use 2- layers of 3.75-inch tape in this situation.
