If I wanted to order a case, how many rolls are in a case?

Can this tape be used to seal aluminum gutter joints?

Asked by Dan February 9, 2016

Answer

ZIP System tapes will adhere to painted and unpainted metals such as aluminum. However, we do not recommend that the tape is left exposed for more than 6-months and is not designed to permanently seal cracks/joints in a gutter system. Therefore, we do not have any data on how the tape will perform in those conditions.

Home Depot delivered on time and as advertised. The product works as demonstrated in the numerous Huber ZIP System videos. You do have to be super careful to not let it stick to itself. If you use it in conjunction with the regular ZIP tape, note that when ZIP tape touches the stretch flashing tape, it is really hard to remove/reposition. So again, take care. I used it to create sill pans for my doors and windows. Much easier than the multi-layer approach needed with regular ZIP tape. BUT this stuff is not as tough, and it was easy to rip through it when sliding in a heavy window. Also easily patched with a piece of regular ZIP tape.

This stuff is as good as everyone says it is. Very sticky. Stretchy and holds.

Good stuff. Just wish it weren't so expensive!
This stuff stretches well and sticks very well. Definitely not cheap, but neither is fixing leaks later. Make sure you buy the roller as the adhesive is pressure sensitive. This makes it easier to reposition. The only tricky part is that it is soft. If you make plastic corner guards, it will keep from digging into the tape when installing the windows.
