These are ok. The color is a blueish purple. The wire withstood some winding around some wooden stars I had made. The connection between the wire and the battery pack is a bit delicate. Was a little too rough with one of the strings and the wires popped out where they connect to the battery and had to be soldered back together. I suggest getting extra rechargable aaa’s and using an outlet battery charger if you live in a shady area, because the solar panel might not charge the batteries enough to be nice and bright.
