Does this come with wiring to extend the power from the fan up to the ceiling?

AnswersNo it doesn't. It's a hollow tube. The fan I bought (Hunter) had enough wire to connect, but home depot does sell an extension wiring kit. I bought the extension kit then returned it.
Is this down rod threaded on both ends?

AnswersNo, only one end is threaded. But, one one end needs to be threaded. The other end (top) mounts in the base with a metal dowel pin and cotter pin.

They only gave me one on my first pickup, which was very disappointing, since when the electrician came to install the fans, he could only install one.
I had to drive back to the store to pick up the other one I had ordered weeks earlier.
