    The downrod worked exactly as it should. It was also a perfect color match for the fan. You must use a downrod that is threaded at both ends if you have a Hunter Classic fan because of the additional weight of the cast iron housing. Hardware stores generally carry only downrods threaded on one end. I bought my on Home Depot online and received it a few days later.
