Dempsey 44 in. Low Profile LED Indoor Noble Bronze Ceiling Fan with Universal Remote

had these for less than a year, bought 3 and non of them work properly. none of the remotes seem to recognize the fan. none of them dim anymore. very disappointing.

Fan looks good and works well. I can't find in the instructions about dimming the light, but if you hold the light button on the remote for long enough it does change the brightness of the light. It took a bit of time to figure it out after my kids were playing with the remote (I spent a couple of days with a very dim light).

Easy to install and use. Pretty quiet fan in Medium and Low speed.Generates lot of wind. Light can be dimmable. Since my ceiling is really low, I wish Hunter makes the light's cover a bit thinner.

The blades were a bit shorter than I expected (but true to online specs). Purchased two for new condo; installation was simple and the instructions are well-written. Air circulation is great and operation is super-quiet. My only quirks are the very odd-shaped remote and the light behavior. When turned on, it "ramps up" and then gives a flicker when at full brightness. The sequence only takes a second, but drove me nuts testing voltage to make sure it wasn't a wiring issue!

I bought 4 hunter fans -the Hunter Dempsey 44 in master bedroomhas been going on/off for a while, "learned to live with it"- now guest room Dempsey is FAILing too- power goes on/off. Hoping Hunter will replace or refund for product and install. Will have to replace before it starts a house fire while we are sleeping. Always loved Hunter did research-- purchased- paid to install - doesn't work. fun way to spend time & $$.. Hunter please fix- recall- replace - reimburse. or stop selling

A very good quality fan. Dependable for years. My last Hunter fan I had running for 18 years before I moved and it ran almost 24/7. This Dempsy model: Remote is akward in the hand by shape and is slippery smooth. Remote cradle is flimsy, too loose to hold the remote without knocking around. Reverse direction switch is inside the light kit, which means you have to take off the light globe and toggle the switch for Up or Downdraft. Cannot change direction with the remote; Very annoying. I'd like to see the "Hunter" logo outside the light kit made into a concealed switch for up and downdrafts or just integrate reverse mode with the remote like other models. It's the one reason I wanted a remote controlled fan. Kind of hard to do when you have 9' ceilings and need a ladder every time just to change the direction. Disappointing. Plus side, it has a clean sleak appearance. Smooth surfaces making it easy to dust off without needing to get into dusty crevasses. Great for low ceilings as low as 7.5' or 90 inches. Super quiet. Downdraft Highspeed has substantial airflow for a small room up to 12x12 and 1,440cu'. instead of speeds 1,2,3 it could be... Spring Breeze, Windy City and Take me to Oz. Light globe seems heavy and strong enough to withstand an accidental impact. The standard lamp "A or E" bulb Base Code socket allows me to use a bulb with a prefered colortone from any choice: soft white, warm, bright white, daylight. Whatever you like.

Beautiful to look at. Simple and elegant. We do not use the remote. We connected this to a slider switch, one side for the fan and the other for the light. Love it.

Installed this fan in a 3rd bedroom. Barely used it. I estimate it had 3-5 hours total use. The remote transmitter was replaced once under warranty. Fan was noisy and didn't work very well. It finally failed after 16 months. Called Hunter, they apologized and stated the 1 year warranty. I'm glad it failed and I replaced it with a cheaper, more quiet fan. This is my second fan. The first one I had for three years, no problems at all. It was killed by an electrical surge in the house - no fault of the fan. I found it great as a bedroom fan for a 10x10 room, but it would easily work for a larger room. Two things: Enable the dimmer by holding down the 0 button and pressing the light button twice. This makes the light much more functional. The manual doesn’t tell you this. Thanks to HD commenters for passing on this tip. Second: You can use brighter bulbs than they give you to make the light brighter, although enabling the dimmer mode will also brighten the light, so try that first. Love its look and use.

Horrible quality. In 2 months of use, one of the fan blades broke. The blade is made of card board like material. It’s a good looking item, but I wouldn’t waste money on this poor quality.
