Can a light kit be added?
Asked by Stephanie August 10, 2017I made the same mistake. I accidentally purchased this model thinking it came with a light. Installed it then realized it did not have the light. Don't understand why they give you a remote that has a light control on it when you can't add a light kit to the ceiling fan. Disappointed that you cannot add a light kit. Like someone else said my mistake, a costly mistake.

Asked by lisa June 14, 2017yes it can be taken off. it is only snapped into a couple small holes. if you don't mind the two tiny holes, it comes off very easily.
