Questions & Answers
I have hard wired and independent wall switches for both the light and fan. While the remote is a nice to have, the hard wiring will not fail in the future. Is it possible to wire the fan directly to both switches and totally bypass the remote unit/receiver? Fan is the exact size and look we require, Thank you!

Would this work in a kitchen?
Yes I would think so. It is a 3 blade and not a 4 or 5 so air flow is diminished somewhat. If your kitchen is not large you should be fine with this model. The fan has a contemporary look with clean lines.

I originally fell for the very modern and simplistic look of this fan, but after having installed it, am completely wowed! I spray painted it to match my decor, and it applied flawlessly. Installation was fairly easy, and it completely transformed the look of my room. It tends to be a bit stuffy at night, but this fan REALLY cools it down. I thought the remote was a little much, but now that I've experienced it...I can't imagine life without it. Not only does it control the fan speed, but it also dims the light (perfect for bedtime!) Great fan for the price. Quiet and efficient and nice contemporary design. Love that the remote also has dimming control for the light. Only drawback is that to change fan direction (from summer to winter mode) you need to remove the glass light cover to flip a switch, but not difficult to do, and since you only need to do this twice in a year, it does not detract from the fan.
