I like this HUNTER ORSINI 60 IN. LED INDOOR/OUTDOOR FRESH WHITE CEILING FAN WITH LIGHT KIT. We specifically needed to replace an outdoor fan that got damaged during the winter storm here in Texas. If you are going to install out door, make sure the fan blades are plastic and not hardie board or wood. This kit seems like it will last longer because of the materials it’s made from. Install would take about an hour.

Hunter makes the world's best fans. I've installed more than twenty over the past 40 years in five different homes. This outdoor model is great. Destined for a covered porch this fan features "surespeed" technology for great airflow at the high setting. And since it's a Hunter fan, it won't be noisy or wobbling as it moves. It offers three levels of install including close to the ceiling. Hunter is the only fans I will put into my home.

Nice a modern looking fan light. Installation instructions were excellent, and everything was labeled very well (see included image of the bags marked with shapes). This is definitely a two person installation - while I'm sure someone could do it alone with a long ladder, it's easiest if done with a friend. The appearance is very attractive and modern-looking, with clean lines. The one appearance quibble is that the two chains are on opposite sides of the light, which is easy for usage but not as attractive. The chain is also somewhat short, so have to extend it with an older chain we had. The cooling of the fan is great - it takes a second longer than expected to start spinning, but does a great job on the top speed and is very quiet. The light is ok - the fan we replaced had 4 bulks, and while 2 does the job, would have proffered at least another bulb. Overall, happy with the fan, with some small design marks.

Ordered the Hunter Orsini outdoor fan to replace another white outdoor Hunter fan that had yellowed with age. The fan has an attractive modern design with four composite blades that does not dominate the room décor. It is simple to operate with pull chains controlling the three speed fan and the light. The light kit uses two standard light sockets and two LED light bulbs were included. The fan was fairly easy to install except for installation of the light kit which is cumbersome as you have to feed a plug connector through the switch housing in the light kit that is very crowded with wires, and then connect the light kit to the fan housing with three screws at the top of the switch housing through all those wires which took some time. The fan is rated for outdoor use and moves a substantial amount of air. The fan initially ran smoothly at low and medium speed but wobbled at high speed. I loosened the fan blades and retightened them to try to reduce the wobble without success. I then used the included balancing kit and was able to get it balanced nearly perfectly, but this is the only fan I have recently installed that needed balancing. Overall I think the Orsini is a simple attractive outdoor fan that moves a lot of air and will hopefully hold up to the elements in a covered outdoor porch environment.

This is a high quality outdoor, weathermax fan! The fan is wet rated, meaning you can install it outdoors and let it get snowed or rained on! Literally! No worries, this fan can handle it! I already had an outdoor fan, so I just installed this indoors in the home office. The performance is great, I'll never have to run it on high speed since it's inside instead of under a pergola, but I thought people might want to know how powerful it is since it's meant for outdoor use. See the video to see the highest speed, it's definitely fast and powerful, but also comes with the noise of the increased airflow. The fan has high, medium, and low speeds, and of course "off". The low speed is extremely quiet, you can't even hear it running. You really can't! When on the high speed setting, all you really hear is the airflow and that's definitely to be expected, so even at the highest speed, the fan itself (the motor) is extremely quiet, you can't hear it running. The fan also comes with a light kit and two warm white (3000K) LED bulbs. The sockets are standard, but the bulbs can't be physically too large since the glass globe still has to fit over them, but the typical standard bulbs you'd put in most of your lamps should work just fine. So feel free to use whatever bulbs you like, I just found it very nice that everything was included with the fan, so I didn't have to buy anything else just to get light from it! This fan replaced a competitor's fan, which was great since my electrical box was already mounted to a wood structure above the ceiling, so that allowed me to use the same electrical box and the same machine screws to install the new mount! The only problem was the people who came before me left an extremely short ground wire from the electrical box, so I had to just extend it to make wiring possible since I did a low profile mount. The fan comes with a 2" and 3" downrod, if you need anything longer, you will need to buy a longer matching downrod. I removed the 3" and replaced it with the 2" for the low profile mount. This helped keep the fan closer to the ceiling and kept the fan blades above the 7' required clearance from the floor. Because the fan is wet-rated, there are some gaskets to install as you go. You don't really need them for an indoor installation, but just in case something comes up the future, I can always move it to an outdoor location and not risk anything since the gaskets are still there. The only problem with doing this is that the adapter cover is not used for low-profile mounts because it would prevent the canopy from coming down low enough to allow the downrod ball to be placed into the slot on the ceiling bracket. That adapter cover definitely has a small gasket on either side of the hole for the downrod, so you definitely should NOT do a low profile mount outside where directly exposed to rain, etc. unless you wrap some teflon on the downrod that screws into the fan housing. Just something to be aware of since the adapter plate would not be used in that case. The instructions were extremely clear and extremely helpful for the most part. However, the low profile install made it very difficult to perform the wiring, especially since the wires coming out of the electrical box were left very short from a previous installation (not mine). For a low-profile mount, the canopy blocks the space that normally would be used to get your hands up near the electrical box for wiring, just another thing to be aware of. Hopefully you won't have the same situation that I did and I would expect nearly all installations to never be low-profile, especially outdoors. I cut the excess fan wires to reduce their lengths so that some of the wiring could be moved to the electrical box or kept just under the electrical box and inside the canopy. Other than the challenge with the low profile mount, I found the rest of the installation to be relatively straightforward. The fan blades have to be mounted against gravity, as usual, but it's not that bad once you line up the first one. Just make sure you line up both holes on the fan blades, since the pattern of pre-drilled holes doesn't line up perfectly unless you move the fan blade until two of them do. Once you have that for the first blade, then the next three are easy to mount. The only other hard hard part was installing the lighting kit because there are so many wires and a capacitor block that makes it very difficult to get the three mounting screws into the mounting plate that's permanently attached to the fan. The two screws are pretty easy, but that third one requires a long thin philips head screw driver because you have to go through a pre-cut hole in the metal fan kit just to be able to get that third screw in to finish mounting the light kit to the fan housing. I feel like most people might give up, but hopefully they don't or the light kit is going to risk falling out or looking lopsided. I was able to get that last mounting screw with a little patience and careful balance, so it's definitely possible. There's just a lot of wires and not a lot of space in that light kit, so be careful when you're installing it as well as when you're installing the metal cover after connecting the dummy-proof plastic plugs. After the light kit is installed, install the lights, then the glass globe and that's it. Turn it on and hang the two pull strings and you're done! They even labeled the light and fan pull strings so I didn't even have to guess! And they used symbols on all the small parts packages to make it even easier to get the right parts for each step, I mean who does that!? One thing that they failed to put in the instructions was a reminder to play some music while you work. They really need to do that, otherwise they're just like everyone else. Registration was so easy, just take a picture and text it to Hunter, then fill out the web form they send to you in a link. Hunter fans are absolutely the best, they have so many varieties, so just pick the one you like and enjoy it. They are the best for a reason and they've been in business the longest!
