This plug thread will fit most standard pneumatic tools. I was able to easily install it in my pneumatic shears which allows quick swapping these shears for other pneumatic tools. It easily plugs into the female sleeve coupler on my compressor or at the end of my air hose. It is made of high quality lightweight steel for strength and durability. The plug threads are coated with sealant so that simply screwing it in to the tool provides an airtight seal. Connecting with the coupler provides a good airtight seal between the hose and the tool.

Excellent adapter! Needed for adapting my automatic oiler to use for my pneumatic fence stapler. Was simple to install and even easier to use. Already has a thread sealant applied to the threads! The zinc plating on the adapter helps resist rust which adds life and durability to the fitting. Standard 1/4 coupling fits majority of air hoses. Highly recommend!

There is a difference between this air hose attachment and the ones you can buy at the discount hardware stores. I have purchased dozens at the store that use overseas import parts and was never satisfied with them. Some would work and others would leak, or even worse, not fit into the corresponding female adapter.
This one has impressed me with correct dimensions that fit all of my corresponding female adapters. I especially liked that it had sealant already applied. Worked perfectly.

I recently got a small "suitcase" air compressor for my small shop and went on the hunt for air hose and fittings. This fitting was one of the fittings for tools needing a higher flow of air. Tools like impact hammers, air chisels etc. The inside diameter of the fitting is about 50 percent larger allowing this larger flow, Sometime called automotive fitting, or Milton S-217, over the industrial fitting alllowing close to 70 to 75 CFM. If you have a compressor and feel you may need heavier tools at one time. These are necessary.

This plug from Husky is very good quality. One end screws in while the other snaps into an automotive-style air fitting port. One important thing to note is that this plug will not fit an industrial-style air fitting port. The threaded end is coated with a red thread sealer which creates an air tight seal, so no Teflon tape is needed. The zinc-plated steel is very smooth, with no rough nibs or edges, and has a high-polish finish. This plug is rated for up to 155 PSI. I generally run my air tools at 110 PSI and under, so this plug is ideal for my use. Another thing to note is that the nipple on the snap-in side of the plug is shorter than other NPT Male plugs I own. I was concerned the short nipple would not fit or make a solid connection, but it works well with no air leaks. My only gripe is that the yellow product label is impossible to completely remove without the use of a label remover. At under $2, this plug is an excellent value and is cheap enough that I can buy extra plugs to keep in the tool box.

This is the standard size for most tools and fittings. It comes with threadlock already in place and will probably fit everything you use. I keep a handful of these in the parts bin, in case I get something new or different to add to the toolbox. These offer a good, tight fit, but are also easy to release. They're zinc coated and will last a lifetime, if you don't abuse them.

I have bought several new air-powered tools over the years, and none of them came with these 1/4 inch nipples for connecting it to your air hose. I don't know why tool manufacturers don't include that, since it is essential to to the use of the tool. I always end up having to make an extra trip to a store to buy one. They are not expensive, so it really doesn't make sense. This Husky 1/4 in. x 1/4 in. NPT Male Automotive Plug was needed for a new tool I just bought, and was a perfect fit, and just in time! Thanks Husky, and Home Depot!
