The light weight of this polyurethane hose makes it ideal for applications where dragging a heavy hose is an issue like roofing. The smooth, non-marring finish also makes it ideal for indoor trim work where scratching surfaces could create damage. Poly hose has very good cold weather flexibility. Bend restrictors reduce kinking and increase the life of the hose. End fittings are field repairable, so with a knife and 2 wrenches a quick repair can be made to the hose if damaged. 300 psi Work Pressure. 100 ft. L with 1/4 in. NPT end fittings. 4-year warranty.

So this is a great light air hose, but the only issue I have is the air hose turns into a rat nest every time I use it which is EXTREMELY ANNOYING. It costs me way to much time to Wind up so therefore it’s not for me. Organization and quick clean up is a must for the job site which makes the job turn out better due to less stress. But for a hose reel in my garage it’s perfect.

Good medium duty hose
Forget PVC air hoses, this beats them hands down. It's lighter, it coils better, it doesn't get all hard and brittle and it's cold weather performance is FAR superior. For a medium duty hose (which is all the typical home user will ever need), this hose is outstanding. I'm still a big fan of the rubber hoses for heavier duty applications, but this hose is fantastic for your everyday use.
Pros:
Coils well
Holds up to 300 PSI
Lightweight
Good cold weather performance
Very long
Cons:
Does tend to kink a bit easier than rubber
Overall, I really like this hose and plan to use it in my everyday use around the shop. I'll probably end up putting it on a retractable spool to help with the kinking and to try and keep that 100ft under control.
Geat hose - I will never go back to the old style!
Living in a colder climate, I have had my share of fights with PVC air hoses and their inability to behave. They are very difficult to get stretched out and roll back up in colder weather.
That’s why I really like these 1/4 inch polyurethane air hoses. The stay flexible in colder weather, probably as good as a rubber hose, but they are soooo much lighter, and that makes a huge difference when dragging 50 feet of hose around. In fact, it doesn’t feel like you are even have a hose attached to the tool. I think that this hose will also outlast a rubber or PVC hose in most situations.
Although at 50 foot, a 1/4 inch hose may be stretching the limit for fast work with tools that gobble air. Roofing nailers, for example, if you are super fast (I’m not that fast), and probably almost any impact wrench. But, for general framing and especially finish work these hoses can’t be beat.
These are now a necessity for indoor finish work since they don’t leave marks on the walls or trim when being pulled around the corner. Longer lengths may present a problem in rolling them up, but I use a cord reel which works fine (see photo). One other problem is that at only 1/4 inch, it may tend to kink easier, but I don’t see the “memory” of a kinked location like PVC, which tends to re-kink in the same location over and over again, so to compare the two, I definitely prefer polyurethane.
I have even used short lengths of 1/4 inch polyurethane air hoses as water hoses in the greenhouse and garden for all of the same reasons. Big difference not having that huge garden hose flopping around the delicate plants.
Field repairs are easy with a splice kit, so if you do get a leak, it really isn’t a major problem. Or, just install new ends and have two shorter hoses. This Husky hose seems to be every bit the quality of the high-end brands, and I expect that it will last me many years. I won’t go back to any other type of hose.
This excellent Air Hose is a hundred foot long. Plenty of room to move around without having to lug around the air compressor. In saying that the Air Hose has to be coiled back once done with usage. It's a little bit of a pain to hold it together without something to hold it in place. I used a few tie strap to keep it in place but soon I'll use a velcro strap. Besides that it's wonderful for baseboard and crown molding install. It's seriously has an advantage to have plenty of length with this air hose. Has made easier to maneuver complete projects with no fuss. I've notice the hose gets kinked around corners but still has a good amount air flowing through. I'm amazed with this air hose.
