This camp is perfect for small jobs that need clamping. The force I was able to exert with this clamp was impressive. One thing I noticed that could be a little better was that when it is clamped, the rubber piece at the end of the screw end splits and cracks. This means that after a few uses, this piece would likely wear through, exposing the metal. I guess that if something required enough force to crack the rubber then maybe it shouldn’t be used (it can be easily removed and put back on). Overall, this is a handy little clamp to have around for smaller jobs.

Just the right size for that very small project. I have a box full of clamps but most of them are much larger. This small one inch clamp will work very well to hold together that small project. It has an opening of an inch and a quarter (see my picture). The clamp has a rubberized cover over the metal on the seat to help keep you from scratching or denting your project. But I would also suggest you use shims to fully protect whatever you are working on. It is all metal so it should last for years.
