Easy to assemble and works perfectly. Iv had husky compressors before they give no problems always works when you need it. The one I bought had a bit of rust on the fins from being in its box outside at the store and got rained on is my guess. But all I did was dampen a cloth with WD and wiped it off and there works great. Definitely recommend the brand.

This compressor does a great job, and the regulator seems to be very responsive. If I wanted to use a tool that used a lot of air (I'm thinking air driven angle grinder, but since I don't own one, I don't know), I'd probably go with a larger unit; as this one cycles on and off pretty often even when I'm using a single nail gun. I'd invest in a 100' of 3/8 hose, and a hose reel; for anything serious, don't even think about 1/4 hose. This unit claims to be portable, and it is, but it is also pretty awkward and heavy to move on a regular basis. In my shop, I have 100' on a wall mounted reel(the $20-30 manual models work just fine), and another 100' that I can use as an extension. My time to get pressure will be a little longer because I'm also filling up 100' of hose, but from 0 to 70 psi takes about a minute, and from 0 to 110 takes about 3 minutes. This thing also uses a lot of power, so where you place it is important. If you have a sketchy A/C circuit or receptacle, it'll either not start, or stall as soon as another load comes on. Another sign that you need to find a different circuit is if, at start up, it dims all the lights on the circuit, Don't plan on using an extension cord either, they just won't support the load.

Buyer Beware - Do not purchase - Waste of Money I purchased this air compressor 11/25/2016 - Today is 2/5/2017 and the unit is dead and will not run. Best Part: I purchased this compressor to REPLACE ANOTHER Husky Air Compressor I purchased on 1/30/2016. (Husky 1HP 4.6 Gallon Silent Compressor). That unit lasted 10 months before it died. I have purchased 2 Husky air compressors in the past year - both are sitting in my garage dead and worth no more than scrap metal. Both air compressors were used for light household needs: Topping off car and ATV tires, running a small nail gun for baseboard trim. I am going to contact Home Depot and see what they will do to stand behind the products they sell. I will update this post with their response whether good or bad.

The Husky air compressors was easy to assemble; however, I found it confusing to locate the oil the mentioned needed to add to the oil reservoir. The oil was taped to the electrical cord and contained enough oil to pour into the oil reservoir. I could not see the if the oil was enough since the filter in the reservoir restricted viewing. They failed to mention the viscosity of the oil or the type of oil that needed to be used.

Know why you bought this and what you're doing. I'm a casual user doing weekend work on my vehicles, mowers, and home repairs and remodels. I wanted something powerful enough to get lug nuts off my cars, small enough to fill up quickly and wheel around, and inexpensive enough to not worry if it just sits. So the power (3.8 cfm @ 90 psi) is adequate for intermittent impact wrenching, the 10 gal tank fills up in under 3 minutes and sits compact in the garage, and the price was right. The oil reservoir was surprisingly clean when I flushed it prior to first use. The motor is loud (rated at 82db, which is supposedly twice as loud as people talking) but not awful. The fittings are solid. Don't make the mistake of pairing this with cheap impact tools from HF or you'll be disappointed. I did and learned the lesson. A higher quality impact wrench made easy work on the lug nuts with this compressor. I also plan to follow the manual and change the oil after the first 10 hours of operation. Overall, I'm pleased.

Excellent 10 gal compressor. This is a nice Oil Lubricated compressor. It has all the bells and whistles you look for in a compressor. The unit comes will packaged and assembly only requires you to install the wheels and fill the oil into the chamber. The compressor is a bit power hungry. I recommended using a 120v dedicated 20amp circuit to run this compressor, anything less will pop the breaker. Once running it will take about 3.5 minutes to fill to 135psi and will run at about 80db. The tank does have a bleeder at the bottom to release any moisture that builds up. Air delivery is as advertised 4.5 SCFM @ 40psi and 3.8 SCFM @ 90psi. Overall its a nice portable compressor that isnt as loud and bluky as the oil less units. I wished this unit did go up to 150psi but 135 is good enough for what I use it for.

Noisy direct drive
Nice and compact for the light duty user. Good for air impact tools but would not suggest for nailers as the tank capacity is not high enough and the compressor would be kicking on and off too often. Small enough to make it one person transportable, but the direct drive makes it noisier than the larger belt driven compressors also sold by Husky. The wheels did not come attached so two tools were needed, other than that just add oil and screw on air filter, all included.

Nice little unit
For use in my small shop, the compactness of this unit appealed to me. At only 3 foot in height, it doesn't take up a lot of space. It's also portable enough to be wheeled outside when needed. Delivering 3.8 SCFM at 90 PSI, it's enough for most nailing applications. As far as automotive use, that's really not enough for anything more than maybe an air ratchet. The unit came well packaged, with no apparent damage. It did arrive with the tank covered in a thin layer of oil. As it took the entire bottle of oil provided to fill it, I have to imagine that some leaked in shipping. After cleaning and using it a bit, I haven't noticed any loss of oil. It is an attractive little unit. Timing it, the compressor takes 2 minutes, 38 seconds (2:38) to fill the tank from empty. Letting it sit for 24 hours with the tank full, I did note a drop in pressure of approximately 5 PSI. Probably something as simple as tightening a fitting just a tad.

Great addition to my home shop
Having previously been borrowing a 20 gallon compressor when I needed it for a specific project, moving to a smaller 10 gallon compressor so far has had little impact in the work that I do. My primary use is to finish nailing moldings and other home remodel tasks, for which this compressor is more than adequate. When I removed the compressor from its packaging, it was covered in oil. The oil cleaned right off with some kitchen degreaser, but I thought it was a bit odd. I couldn’t tell if it leaked, if it was packaged this way. As it is made of metal and plastic, no harm came to the unit, so that was good. All the oil was contained in the giant bag it was all packaged in, so the manual was also oil free. The instructions were very clear on first startup and maintenance, something to which I was not very aware of having been borrowing one for some time. I found the instructions rather helpful in this regard. The look of the thing is a bit industrial. All the fittings and piping are exposed, the only hidden part is the electric motor that drives the compressor pump. However, being able to see things without pulling off plastic panels is a bit of win; it makes maintenance and cleaning that much easier. The gauges are a bit small for my liking, but they still read and are easy to understand. The cut off switch is simple to operate, but it is a little loose for my liking and it is extremely easy to just bump the whole unit have the cut-off switch pop back in to ‘AUTO’ which will trip on the compressor if the unit is powered. Speaking of power, the power cord on this thing is quite substantial, yet it is still very flexible and easy to wrap up around the handle (which makes transport a breeze, what with the two wheels and two legs) for storage. I’m only rating it down one star for easy to trip switch. I bumped the thing several times on accident with very little force and tripped the unit to start pumping. I wasn’t a fan of the sudden and unexpected loud noise. Bonus: it comes with a little bottle of oil, so assuming you have a hose and a tool attachment, it comes with everything you need to get started.
