A: The strap is a limited length. You could change it to a longer strap (not included) and use the same mechanism. If you meant connecting 2 to make it longer, I'm not sure if it's rated for that or if that will be safe.

A: It should work fine on the bb hoop. I have had mine out in the sun for a couple of years, eventually you will have to replace them but they should last quite a while.

broke under light load

The strap broke 2 inches past the sewn seam in the webbing after only a couple uses. It was right where the strap came in contact with a smooth metal beam, indicating that the webbing material was surprisingly suseptable to chafing.

These are the least complicated tie down straps I’ve ever used. Major kudos for ease of use. They are also strong without being bulky—not too heavy, not too light, These tie down straps are a great solution without the headache of other tie down straps.
