Hello how are you? I am happy to answer the question. The flashlight has the tail end which is able to be unscrewed and it is easy to refill the batteries in. Two pieces of alkaline AA batteries will be good. Please remember to replace batteries with same brand and brand new ones together. The used battery mixed with new battery will lower the new battery performance. Hope my answer helps you out ~ :) Have a great day.

I put mine in all of the + sides down. You may want to check to see if your contacts are clean as dirty contacts could make it not work properly.

When will this item be back in stock? Thank you.

Answer

The High/Low/Flashing/Off are all built into the Tail piece button. Push once for High, then a second time for low, a third for strobe/flashing, and a fourth for off. Another great feature with this light is if you cycle through to the low and use, when you turn it off for more than 10 second it automatically returns to the High mode the next time it is turned on. Hope this helps!!

how do you sw?itch from high to strobe

Answer

The switch for this flashlight is in the tail piece. Click once for High, then click again for Low, then a third click will take you to strobe. This flashlight also has a neat feature that after you turn off for more than 10 seconds, it will cycle automatically back to high when you turn on again. Hope this helps!!

Well, that should not happen. The Husky flashlight you have has a Lifetime Warranty. The only thing you should ever need to replace is the batteries! If for unforeseen reason one of the LEDs fails all you have to do is return to a Home Depot store and they will provide you with another one. That flashlight can withstand a 9 meter drop and is waterproof in up to 1 meter of water, so it should be the last flashlight you ever have to buy. Hope this helps!!

How do I get to the battery compartment on a husky flashlight

You unscrew the tail piece. The lens side is sealed because it houses the electronics. Also this item is water proof up to 1 meter, there are double O-rings on the threads of the tail piece which may make it a little tougher to get started. It will open for you. Hope this helps!! If you have continued problems, run it by any Home Depot store and they will make sure you get another one, or help you get the tail piece removed.

The LED looks to me like a 3V Cree XP-L which is soldered to an aluminum PCB which is replaceable if you know how to solder. I don’t have this light but do have a similar model with, originally, an XP-G3. The head is 3 pieces, heavily glued together, with a plastic reflector. I replaced the LED with a 6V Cree XHP50 that is capable of 2500+ lumens. You need two Li ion 26500 size batteries, a 6V driver and an aluminum C8 reflector (heat melts plastic) to do this. Back to your stock light, it can use a single 18650 li ion and you can get more than 600 lumens out of the light. Either use the warranty or start reading the budget light forum to learn how to modify this light. This model is great for that!

Extremely bright flashlight. It is useful to have two constantly on settings, one that sheds sufficient light for most tasks that maximizes battery life and a second that shines much farther, but will consume the battery much faster. It also has a flashing mode for when trying to get someones attention, such as when you need help. The head and tail pieces are covered in a thick layer of rubber so when the flashlight is put down normally it should be marred and it should not mar other surfaces. The body is a thick, heavy aluminum and feels very sturdy. The battery cap has a long threaded section for durability and two rubber sealing rings to keep out dust and dirt. The light uses six AA batteries, so it is moderately expensive to replace them, However, you can replace them when the power is out unlike a rechargeable flashlight, so this light works well as an emergency light.

This Husky heavy-duty LED flashlight has a couple of subtle features I appreciate. I like that when I lay it down on a level surface that the rubber coating on the ends makes contact and the metal does not touch. I also like that it doesn't roll easily. The flashlight has a push-on/push-off button on the end that rotates through the High-Low-Strobe modes; but I would prefer a separate way to switch modes. Although most LED flashlights have a large number of standard LEDs (one of mine has 50 LEDs), this Husky flashlight is brighter with only 3 super-bright LEDs. The beam is not focusable. The flashlight has a very rugged feeling to it via its textured metal body and a double o-ring seal where the batteries are inserted. Although it claims it can be dropped from 9 meters and can be submerged up to 1 meter, I did not test those specs!

This flashlight is really heavy duty. It is heavy weight in the hand but isn't a large flashlight. It comes with batteries already in it. Just remove the plastic pieces when you unscrew the end and instant flashlight power. The rubber button is easy to push for on/off. This item is bright so be careful shining it on white walls or mirrors. You'll see spots if you do. It has a large range area of lighting. Works great in my yard at night when I need to see a large area of the garden. Excellent product. Very pleased.

When you are trying to find something in a 40 foot long ocean cargo container it is a whole lot easier if you have good light. This flashlight provides a nice wide beam for checking out rows of boxes and seeing where you are going. It has a double "O" ring seal on the rear where you insert the batteries for water resistance. The entire light has a nice heavy duty feel. It would be nice if it was rechargeable rather than using AA cells but that is my only negative. Even the low setting provides plenty of illumination inside my storage area.

Overall, this flashlight works pretty well. I got this to replace an old MAG light that my wife kept in her car. One of the batteries swelled up in there and so here I am getting this. While this Husky light isn't quite the same from a potential weapon standpoint, the flashlight still seems very well built (though I did not run over it with a semi truck to test this...). The key differences are that there is a rubberized coating around the light itself and the end of the battery chamber, you cannot twist the lamp head to focus between a flood light and a spot light, and the button to turn it on is located on the back of the light rather than the side. This probably adds durability to the flashlight, but it also adds my only gripe about the light. When holding it such that I would turn it on by clicking the button with my thumb, I can't quite get it to click and stay on. My thumb is just not nimble enough to bend in and push the button far enough down. The last key difference is the different modes that the light has. While the old MAG had just "On" and "Off," the Husky light has "On-High (600 lumens)," "On-Low (200 lumens)," "On-Strobe," and "Off" settings. You cycle through these by turning the light on and off in quick succession. Both the 600 and 200 lumen settings are plenty bright; do not look directly into the light. The strobe setting would be a great option to blind a potential assailant to disorient them and get away.

I just received the Husky 600 Lumen LED Virtually Unbreakable Aluminum Flashlight in Black. Straight away I surprised at the weight to it. It does not seem to be a cheap flimsy one at all! It is a good weight and feels very durable. It has three different modes. It can be on high which is 600 lumens, low which is 200 lumens or you can use it in strobe mode which is also pretty darn bright! Switching between these modes is as simple as clicking the button on the end of the flashlight. I feel like the led bulb will definitely outlast normal bulbs. The location of the button also reduces the risk of accidently bumping it while in use compared to those with buttons on the side. At the handle end of the flashlight it has a rubber coating that is pretty thick. It is also around the end of the light so if you drop it there is some protection. This seems like it will definitely add to the durability of this flashlight. It takes four AA batteries to operate. I have not had it long enough to speak on the longevity of battery life in it yet. I do like that instead of the batteries just being spring loaded by the cap they actually made this with a core that comes out and holds 2 batteries on each side. Gone are the days of taking off the cap and having batteries come flying out at you! The body of the flashlight itself has a textured metal for better grip. One word of warning is that if you get this light even though it has batteries in it you can not just turn it on…. First you need to open the battery compartment and remove the plastic circle. Husky was nice enough to put it there to preserve the battery life however they did not put anything on the packaging to inform someone of this. I almost returned it because I thought it was defective but decided to try changing the batteries and found it!! Husky made another amazing product and are backing it with their lifetime warranty which makes is even better. No regrets with this flashlight and I definitely recommend it!

This Husky 600 Lumen Led Flashlight is fabulous, made very well. It has some weight to it, feels good in the hand. I needed this to walk to my shed at night and to take my little dog out for a walk around the neighborhood. The cool thing about this Flashlight is it takes AA batteries, and shines the light quite a distance. I would recommend this Husky 600 Lumen LED Flashlight to anyone, it's great to keep in the Car for an emergency.

This Husky 600 Lumen LED flashlight is very nice! It weighs exactly 16 ounces with the included batteries. It is about 8 1/2" long. It uses 4 AA batteries. Mine came with Eveready Energizer Max batteries. The flashlight has an end cap (Tail switch) button that controls 3 light modes, High, Low and Strobe. Even the low mode is quite sufficiently bright. This flashlight does not have a zoom feature, but my opinion is that it does not need one. The packaging states that the battery life in high mode is 3.5 hours and in low mode (200 Lumens) the batteries should last 8 hours. I cannot address that personally since I have chosen not to purposefully drain the batteries. I can confirm Q at that this flashlight appears to be built very solidly. Only the end cap can be removed, and it has two O ring seals on it . The high mode will easily light up my utility building from about 65ft away (see photos). The tail switch is easy to use. The flashlight also has a Lifetime Warranty. I'm very impressed with this flashlight.

Awesome flashlight! None brighter! The aluminum construction makes for a well balanced light -- easy to hold. With the ends rubberized, it's less likely to scratch other objects. With 1500 lumens, it's extremely bright, but also has a low light setting and a strobe setting. My husband claimed this one -- it will be housed in his vehicle. We both are pleased with it.
