This has been a good jack (so far) but... Not long after I got it, and it was only the 2nd or 3rd time I used it, I only got about 4 inches of lift and it would quit lifting. Despite the manual saying " DO NOT add oil" I was not going to throw away a new jack that I had just paid for, and I wasnt going to go out and buy another jack. I pulled the cap, added a few ounces of oil, and it has worked fine since. Keep in mind that I have had a scissor jack in my truck, and have only had to use the floor jack a total of 7 or 8 times maybe. So overall - not great that you have an almost brand new jack that wont work, but that with a minor adjustment works well I think I would recommend this one.
this can be used on most SUV's. Be sure to check the total height you will need to raise your SUV against the specifications for the jack before buying.
You should not have to change the oil it should come with the jack already
it can lift most vehicles under the 5000lb capacity limit.
hydrolic oil - make sure to use only this - it is designed to allow the lift to work properly
