Q:Despite I am not pressing, my gun keep pushing out the caulk, any idea why?

Answer This Question

A:  If you have too small of a hole in the tip it may be taking time to relieve the pressure. Also, If you set in in the sun the caulk can heat up and expand.

No Drip? What, is this the Comedy Hour?
Drips worse than any caulk gun I've ever owned. I had to manually pul the plunger back to stop it from dripping.

The Husky 10 oz Heavy-Duty caulk gun is an excellent caulking gun. The no-drip feature works very well by reversing the direction of the plunger when the trigger is released. The trigger can also be adjusted for thicker compounds thereby providing more leverage on the trigger and less stress to the hand. I give this caulk gun 4-1/2 stars. The only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars is that one of the caulking materials I am using is very thin and runny and the no-drip feature was only partly effective. The no-drip feature and adjustable trigger worked very well with the thicker compounds I am also using.

I obtained this Husky caulk gun so that I could use the large (29 ounce) tubes of concrete sealant. The caulking gun is very easy to use and has everything that you might want in a caulk gun. I was able to empty an entire tube of concrete sealant with minimum effort and was shocked when I realized I had emptied the whole tube. I was unaware the technology for caulking guns had improved so much and this one was just a dream to use. The Husky 29 ounce Heavy Duty High-Leverage Caulk Gun is a must own if you do any caulking with 29 ounce tubes.

This is a professional caulking gun, for big jobs that require large 29 oz. size caulk or sealant. Many projects, and especially DIY projects, use 10.1 oz. caulk or sealant, not 29 oz. For professional jobs, using 29 oz. tubes, this is a great tool. The cushioned handle helps prevent hand fatigue. When you want to use the red Dripless button, you need to press it forward and down, not straight down.

This is the best manual caulk gun I've used compared to others. I comes with an adjustable leverage (aka "high force" and "low force". I left it in dripless mode and seemed to work great. With the high force setting it strains my fingers less than the typical manual caulk gun and helps me apply even pressure. I highly recommend this caulk gun, spend the extra money and get this model instead of the cheaper ones.

This caulk gun is 100 times better than my old one. It has tons of useful features that help the average caulk job go so much easier. The high leverage function is the main one, giving you an extra mechanical advantage to push super thick goop out if needed. The spill prevention releases pressure on the tube a little bit to prevent the caulk from coming out after you're done. It also has a poker that can break the seal of a new caulk tube. The only thing it DOESN'T have is something to cut the tip of the tube off like some other caulk guns I've seen. That said, I usually like a more precise cut to open the tube anyway, so I use box cutters. PROS: - High leverage mode really works. Gives a significant mechanical advantage. - Anti-drip switch relieves pressure from the plunger and prevents drips - Built in poker to break seal of new tubes of caulk - Ergonomic handle CONS: - The high leverage mode takes a little getting used to. I tried it with a caulk that really didn't need high leverage for, and it resulted in me needing to pump the gun a lot more (what you gain in leverage, you lose in distance plunged per trigger pull). Overall, I really like this caulk gun. It seems well built and like it will last a while.
