Asked by Rusty September 30, 2020

Rusty, The length of this 5/8 in. socket is 0.99 inches. The width is 0.86 inches. The depth/bolt clearance is 0.53 inches.

Where is this socket made?

Asked by CarlMiller July 24, 2020

Carl, This is made in our facility in China.

Can this be used with a torque wrench at 40 ft-lb?

Asked by Ed May 20, 2020

Hey Ed, Absolutely, as long as the torque wrench is 3/8 in. drive. You shouldn't have any issues with out sockets breaking at any torque range on their respective torque wrenches. We make sure all far exceed ANSI specifications for their given size. Thanks!

Asked by Ernie December 15, 2019

Hey Ernie, We don't offer any 15mm 1/4" drive sockets. We do have 4.5, 5.5, and 11mm 1/4 drive 12 point but currently only in the bigger sets. As far as I'm aware the smallest set that offers the 4.5 and the 5.5 is the 347 piece socket set. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Master-Socket-Set-347-Piece-H347PCSSSO/308773799 Thanks!

What's the outside diameter of this socket?

Asked by questioner August 7, 2019

Hey Questioneer, The 3/8 in. Drive 1 in. Standard Socket is 1.334 in. in diameter at the top. Thanks!

Does it mean I could take a bolt head out that has a 10mm width and 6 points.

Very nice set
Nice complete set, and came at the perfect time. Someone decided to "liberate" my old Home Depot socket set, and I had to replace the starter in my Chevy truck. I was very pleased with these sockets, I banged them around some while changing the starter but they cleaned up as shiny as new with a simple wipe down. I bought a new ratchet from Home Depot and I was set to go.

Guaranteed Forever!
The Husky Tool forever guarantee is for real! Their website states if a Husky Tool breaks they will give you a brand new one. This applies to these sockets. So far they have performed excellently and feel very well made. The set is complete and will meet most any need. The only negative I found (is why only gave 4 stars) was that the set came in individually wrapped sockets without a case of any kind so buy a toolbox or some sort of holding case if you don't have one.

good fit with all my ratchets and the 6 point style is just something I prefer sometimes
I picked these up because I often have a preference for a 6 point socket when I can find the right sized one at hand. This was a good selection of sizes and they are all the 6 point style. I must have 6 or 7 sets of sockets from assorted manufacturers over the past 35 years. It's a big mix of styles, types and sizes and some I've managed to keep complete while others have had a few lost over time. So it's good to get a full set of 6 pointers to assure I can just glance at one set and get what I'm after for most jobs. I tried these with 5 different ratchets from 5 different manufacturers - some quick release some not. The best one I had was a Grip brand ratchet while the others ran the gamut from there down to the very very cheap. I also tried them with some Craftsman extensions I had. They fit everything I tried them with smoothly and snugly. They fit tight on the quick release ratchets and released easily. The 6 point gave me a good grip. The only thing I see that perhaps could use a little improvement was the imprinting on them. The type is large and bold which I really like since my vision stinks without reading glasses. But the thing that could be a little better is that while on some the size markings are solid and deep looking on others they appear a little on the light side and a tad faint making them a little harder to read. On those fainter ones I have to be pickier about how I hold it to the light to read it. The consistency there could fare just a little better. I would think those fainter shallower markings could possibly wear down over time with heavy use. But at my age I don't think that will be a problem for me. They'll likely last longer than me if I take decent care of them. All in all these compare very favorably with the Grip set that I have. They appear to be about the same quality but the writing on these is a little larger if not as deep so it is a little easier to read. The Grip set I have is complete and kept in its case when not in use and they are all 6 point sockets also but they do not cover quite the size span that these do and more of them are the deep well type. So this set compliments that set well and gives me a bit more variety in sizes.

Like that these are stamped with the markings instead of laser etched, the stamped markings don't wear off and so far I've never stripped out a Husky bit
