If your handle broke, its because the neck is much too thin and there is almost no shoulder on the handle. If your head broke, it is because the steel is cheap and has pits that result from poor forgery/casting work. Also, you probably missed your mark because the handle is much too long for most people to use. Try a 28"-26" axe next time.
