If you're referring to guitar frets, no, they are not designed for them.

How exactly is this ideal for doorknob holes as mentioned in the description?

You could do it if you drilled a hole first, take off the blade and put it through the hole, then reattach the blade and use it like a jigsaw to follow a circle that you had previously drawn. A drill with a hole saw attachment would be a lot easier.

Seriously? 2&2&2=6 Guessing the "5" is a typo. This is not a huge investment, either way. You may be overthinking this.

I don't know how, but the original blade snapped. I found these blades for a good price. I have only try with 6mm MDF and they work great. The only hard part was that I putted on the wrong direction the first Time. I changed really easy and it's working great.

This coping saw was received through cubside pickup. But when I went to use it a few days later, I discovered the top blade mounting nut is completely missing. This makes the saw completely useless. Now I have a handle with no purpose. Serves me right for not picking out my own products and leaving it to store clerks. At the time we had waited for them to deliver my order for over 45 minutes and in AZ heat. My work truck has no AC. So I didn't take a close look at it when they finally brought it and my other items out. Had I made sure it was complete, I'm sure this would have worked fine.
