    A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, there are two built in rivet nuts at each end of the work surface. Each rivet is 1-1/2" from the back/front edge of the work surface and 1" from the nearby side edge.

      A:  I am not familiar with rubber wood, but the piece I got from HD stained very well. It is a very hard wood and quite heavy.

        A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, there is a transparent coating on the surface of the work surface. To stain it, wood sanding will be required to remove the coating first.

          A:  It is not rubber its regular good and you can stain if you sand it first but why the color is beautiful.
