Adjustable Cargo Net

When I got this out of the container it took a few minutes to untangle. Of course, I imagine any similar design gets tangled just as easily, though this one has color-coded cords. The hooks are plastic and seem quite flimsy to be honest, and don't look like they would hold much weight. On the other hand, this net isn't meant to be used as an alternative to straps or chains . . . ALWAYS make sure to properly secure your load. Perhaps the hooks could have been made of a lightweight metal such as aluminum. The danger in having a heavy hook is that if it was stretched a bit and let go, it would reek havoc on whatever it hit. The locking system on these hooks is quite ingenious, as the cord is pulled through the hole and pulls tight into the groove. It can be hard to tighten these once they are already hooked on, so they may need to be removed one at a time and readjusted as needed. The small metal hog-ring-like connectors which hold all the cording together are nice and strong, so as long as the hooks don't bend or break, this net will stay tight. Husky advertises this net to maximally stretch out to 9'3"W x 10'9"L. This is great for keeping down camping supplies on a long trip or throwing in some items and stretching this over your bed for tonneau-cover-like security; to add an extra layer of protection and ensure your things don't go flying out of your box. Even if you have a canopy this could prevent things from flying through your rear window in case of an accident or sudden stop.

The Husky Cargo Net is just the right size to secure loads on my 10’ cargo trailer. I have the trailer’s solid, low sides outfitted with 6 moveable anchor points (available at Home Depot) that work well with the ZipNet. The cargo net is really easy to use. The net has two different cord colors that make tracing cords from one hook to the other much easier. The hooks are permanently attached to the cords so you won’t be losing them. They also easily adjust cord length to fit your load. The ZipNet cords will stretch to cover a loaded area 9’ 3” X 10’ 9”. The Cargo Net does secure most loads easily but a tarped, less than full load of insulation shoved to the front of my trailer provided a bit of challenge. To adequately secure the tarp I needed to add some extra bungee cords. That’s certainly not a deal breaker and a smarter person may have been able to come up with a better configuration to secure the tarp. I am impressed with all that the Husky ZipNet Adjustable Cargo Net can do.

IT WORKED GREAT I PACKED UP MY TRUCK BED WITH ASSORTMENT OF CHAIRS, TENTS, COOLERS, RAFT AND PADDLES YOU NAME WE BRING IT. THIS CARGO NET MADE THAT VERY EASY JUST LOAD IT UP THEN PUT THE CARGO NET ON TOP THEN TIGHTEN IT UP AND OFF WE WENT WITH NO WORRIES OF ANY GEAR FALLING OUT. VERY NICE PRODUCT!!!

The ZipNet Adjustable Cargo Net is surprisingly versatile and easy to use. I often haul material in my Ford Ranger pickup that is not easy to tie down, but the ZipNet Adjustable Cargo Net allows me to secure things easily. The first picture shows the original package. The package is durable and easy to open once a staple on either side is removed. The second picture demonstrates that is it possible to put the ZipNet Adjustable Cargo Net back in the original package without a great deal of effort. The package can be reclosed using the fastening indents in the plastic package case and seems to lock tightly. Once in the package it can go behind the pickup seat and not take up a lot of space. Even so, I would opt for a storing it in a drawstring bag of some sort or a canvas bag. I tried the ZipNet Adjustable Cargo Net out on a rain barrel I constructed at a local workshop. These rain barrels have no tie-down points, loops or handles that would make attaching ordinary bungee cords possible. I hooked the black cords to the four corner anchors in my pickup bed and two yellow and black cords to the bed lip on each side. Adjustments are made by pulling the cords snug and making sure they are pulled down into the slots at the base of each hook. The length/tension adjustments are easy to make and stay secure. I have often secured over-sized cargo such as brush and leaf mulch with ordinary tarps and bungees and always find it a hassle to get things properly adjusted. A flapping tarp not only makes you look like a rookie but tends to tear up the tarp. The ZipNet Adjustable Cargo Net makes securing that type of load a lot easier. I highly recommend the ZipNet Adjustable Cargo Net. It is easy to use, easy to adjust and seems to be quite durable. It is fully assembled and putting over a load is straight forward. At less than $20 it was worth every penny the first time I used it.
