A: Sure you could if the blades have the right size hole. I didn’t see any individual blades at HD but a plumbing supply place would probably carry them.Â

A:Â The short answer is, "I don't know", but here is my opinion. 1) There are tools made by Dremel that use blades around the size you mention and probably recommended as being a lot safer. I would go that route. 2) You would need to find a blade that has the proper shaped and sized hole to secure it on properly. If the screw isn't tight or something's not balanced well, you don't want to take any chances of it coming off or damaging anything while you're making your cut.

Had to cut a piece of pvc pipe to move a drain in my basement.
due to the fact that it was below ground I couldn't get a tool in there to cut it so this was the perfect tool for the job.

If you have any projects that have PVC, retrofit or plumbing in the title, it may well be worth the few bucks to buy one of these time-saving tools just to have in the tool box should the need ever arise. It works wonders in those hard to reach spots where a hacksaw or hand cutters just don't have enough room. Slap this tool in a drill and cut the pipe from the inside out. It is a solidly made tool and in my test runs it had no problems cutting through sch 40 pipe. My only issue was trying to make a perfect cut that was square but with just a little practice, I'm certain I will improve,

This is one of those tools that you might not use every day, but when you need it, it's the only thing that'll get the job done. I like that it can be used with a 3/8" drill (or larger) and it can be used with a locking extension. I used the fast speed on my M18 Milwaukee battery powered drill. It does take some getting used to, so practice on some scrap PVC in a vice. One video on line is a little scary, with a guy holding the pipe with one hand & trying to cut with the other, it's not how one would normally use it, as I said... practice with the pipe in a vice. I found that if I cut through the pipe in one spot and then moved around the inside diameter it seemed to work the best, although no guarantee you'll end up perfectly lined up at the end of the cut, but close enough. After cutting there are some burrs on both inside & outside that'll need to cleaned up before gluing. HD doesn't seem to carry the replacement blades for this yet, but a quick look on line shows that others are selling just the blade for the same price or even $5 more than the whole tool from HD. ( good pricing HD! ) I would think HD might carry the replacements on line in the future, or maybe for a little more include a spare. This tool could also be used by electricians using 1 1/4" or larger plastic pipe. It can cut PVC, CPVC & ABS pipe. There is a lifetime warranty on the tool but not the blade. In conclusion, well made & designed tool that fills a need.
