Q:Seriously, is this as stupid as it seems? The product description says, Designed with wheels for easy mobility but it's not. It has wheels, but isn't ACTUALLY mobile, right? It must be attached to the wall, correct?

Answer This Question

A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, this workbench is designed to be mounted to the wall with foldable structure so as to save space when the workbenched is not used. And the wheels are for the easy mobility of the workbench legs when folding and releasing them.

Q:What is the max clearance under the bench? I would like to put my tool chest under it.

    Answer This Question

A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, the dimensions of the space in between the legs are 52.2” W x 21.1” D, and the height is adjustable from 40.7” to 27” in 1” increment. But there is a gas strut in between the legs and the distance between the leg and gas strut is 25.4”, so the strut will interfere with stuff underneath the workbench if the stuff is wider than 25.4”.

Q:What?s the process to raise/lower the height? How difficult/time-consuming is the height adjustment process? Are tools required to adjust the height?

      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, before securing the workbench to wall, the height should be set to the desired height. If height adjustment is required after attaching the workbench to the wall, the workbench needs to be released from the wall first. To adjust the height, 14mm wrenches are required to release and fix the bolts that lock the uper and bottom workbenches.

Q:Is it possible to bolt two WSH72FWB together from the back side of each of them. I would like to have one folded against the wall, but would like to be able to wheel it out from the wall and extend the second one to make one large table when needed

        Answer This Question

A:  If you will not be mounting to the wall, and since it was not manufactured to be used that way, you would need to find and purchase hardware separately.

          Awful Fabrication
This is by far the worst built product I have ever bought. I had already returned the product once for alignment issues for the work surface. The second product has the same issue as the hinges aren’t either vertically or horizontally aligned. It is unfortunate to see such poor manufacturing put into a relatively expensive product.

            Very good work space
The Workbench is a solid and well-built work surface. The support structure is all metal and will enable heavy construction and assembly. The Workbench does match in height and construction with several other Husky workbench and tool cabinet options. While the workbench will fold down (6 inch still extends from the wall), I leave it fully open to obtain the 24 inch X 72 inch work space. The support legs are adjustable, from about 30 inches to 42 inches in 2 inch increments. Accompanying instruction manual is easy to follow, with assembly in a relatively short period of time. All required hardware is provided, with the exception of bolts you may wish to use to attach the workbench to the wall. The faux wooden top looks great and will withstand minor scratches. Though, if heavy work is anticipated, recommend matting material to protect the surface. Recommend the Workbench as an add-on Husky product or a stand-alone. Solid construction and ample sized work space.

            Disappointed with Build Quality
Why are there are two identical models? My disappointment arrived when I began the install and found that one of the legs had mismatched holes. I had to drill out a hole to slide the support bolt through. I expected more for a nearly $400 workbench. The bench appears sturdy, but I expected more precision, especially for something as integral to the product’s use and installation. I’m happy to talk about it.

Sturdy, good fit in small space, and functional
Good lookin table for tight space. Wish the front wheels could adjust. We went on a side wall of the garage so the slight grade was hard to get the front wheels to touch after attaching to wall. After repositioning, the wheels are super tight and do not go in and out freely, but with much effort. No happy medium, but still a gtreat work table

I love it, folds, rolls, and lifts doesn’t get better...
I love it, folds, rolls, and lifts doesn’t get better than that. The hieght can be adjusted . I ended up using magnetic to keep the back from falling forward .

              No height adjustment after assembly.
The term "Adjustable Height" is misleading. You can select a height when you assemble it, but you have to take it appart to change the height. There are 8 blost, nuts, and washers that set the height of the bench. You have to remove 4 at one end to adjust the length of the legs on that end. Repeat for the other end. Because the weight of the bench is on the legs, it is a two person job, or you need temporary supports while you do it. If you have mounted it to the wall, you need to unmount it first. If you are planing on folding up the bench, you have to mount it to the wall, or some other solid surface. If you don't, it is going to fall over when you fold it. When mounted to the wall, it does fold into a fairly compact form. Great when it is used in a garage shared with a car. The top is solid, and everything is sturdy when unfolded.

              Nice top.
The top on this workbench is great. When the bench is unfolded, it is very sturdy. It has a cylinder like a car hatch to help open it up. When it is folded, you have to be careful because the hinges are not that great. The bracket end is held on with pop rivets, and they will rip through the sheet metal hinges. I ended up replacing them with washer head self tapping screws. I didn't get it exactly right because the top doesn't want to stay folded down. When working right, the bench folds to less then 6" from the wall. Great when sharing a garage with a car. It fastens to the wall, so you can't roll it around once you have it installed. If it is not mounted to a wall, it isn't safe to fold it. You can't adjust the height after installation. The way it is assembled, you have to set the height and leave it. It is a major project to change it. You have to take it apart and put it back together at the new height.

              Poorly machined
Nice in theory, but one of the legs is so poorly machined I’m surprised they were able to assemble it enough to get it out of the factory. The holes on one side of one leg were drilled at a slight offset, making it nearly impossible to get the screws in.

                Both Benches were junk
First bench I got the rivets came out one of the hinges. The replacement was horribly bent when assembled. Not worth the trouble to mount, dismount, and repackage as the benches I've received have been junk.

                  Solid Workspace
As the pandemic has increased our stay-at-home activities over the past 2 years, my wife was interested in upgrading her crafting workspace to something a bit more stable than the old card table she had been using. This Husky Ready-to-Assemble 6 ft Folding Adjustable Height Wood Top Workbench in Black is the perfect solution. The 1 1/4 inch wood top is thick and solid, and attractively finished. The black metal table frame is also very solid. The height of the working surface is adjustable in 1 inch increments from 29.5 to 43.3 inches, allowing for standing or sitting use. Assembly is a snap with the included hardware. The folding feature is particularly nice - once secured to a wall with the included lag bolts, the table folds neatly out of the way. A piston makes easy work of raising the table top back up when unfolding. Overall, I'm very happy with this work bench and highly recommend it.
