Can you safely remove the piston / strut for more clearance below?
Hi Zinkus, yes, it can be safely removed as long as the top is locked and it will not be folded when not in use.
Would I be able to install a woodworking vice and still be able to fold the table up?
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, this workbench is not suitable for mounting a vice.
I see some customer photos with and without a wood top that covers the short part that mounts to the wall (see attached photo). Does this come with the table or does that have to be purchased separately? If separately what’s the part number and price?
Why was this eliminated?- it was a good feature.
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, the short part mounted to the wall has no wood cover anymore. The existing workbench is the same as the images showed on the product page. The one with wood cover showed in the reviews was the old version and it is not available anymore.
I will be using this bench as an ammo loading bench. Can I drill holes through the top with bolts (not screws) in order to mount a loading press as well as a medium size vise?

Seriously, is this as stupid as it seems? The product description says, Designed with wheels for easy mobility but it's not. It has wheels, but isn't ACTUALLY mobile, right? It must be attached to the wall, correct?
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, this workbench is designed to be mounted to the wall with foldable structure so as to save space when the workbenched is not used. And the wheels are for the easy mobility of the workbench legs when folding and releasing them.
What is the max clearance under the bench? I would like to put my tool chest under it.
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, the dimensions of the space in between the legs are 52.2” W x 21.1” D, and the height is adjustable from 40.7” to 27” in 1” increment. But there is a gas strut in between the legs and the distance between the leg and gas strut is 25.4”, so the strut will interfere with stuff underneath the workbench if the stuff is wider than 25.4”.
