Vertical Bike Hook for Garage Slat Wall and Track Systems

Really convenient, easy-to-use bike hook for use with the Husky track system. You simply drop it into place, then lower the metal latch, which locks it down. Very ingenious, and it feels quite secure. This worked very well for a kid's bike, but I'm pretty sure that some modern mountain bikes would have tires that are too tall and wide to get into the hook and stay secure. Another thing you have to make sure of - that the bike sticking out off the wall doesn't get in the way of other things, like a car. The bike hook is designed to be used only one way: with the tires against the wall, like the bike is riding up it, if you can imagine that! The marketing photo shows a bunch of hooks in use, including one with a kid's bike against the wall, but that is a different accessory, so make sure you know what you're buying here.

The bike hook works well against a flat wall. A huge space saver. About 3 3/4 inches of space for tire and rim. There is a small hook on the end to keep wheel from falling off. I did find the tire should be along a stud to prevent it from getting pinched on the hook. see photos. If you have multiple bikes and wide spans between the studs I suggest putting a 1x4 on the wall first then the track to give more flexibility. If there is sheet rock on the wall you will probably be ok if the sheet rock is not too thin. I was worried the wheel would turn but the wheel and handlebars stay straight if both tires are in line. I would position the track based on the height of the bikes if you have a large number of items to hang. But the track can be installed in a couple of minutes so not a big deal if you have to reposition it. Hang every other bike by the back tire for more efficient storage. You can also cut the track if you have a metal cutter so you can hang little bikes at different heights. the wheel stays where you put it so no worries about it bending a spoke. just spin the tire to get if where you want it. Holds up to 60lbs so you can hang the bike off the ground without worries. easier to keep the floor clean :)

There should be an option for bikes with mountain bike tires.

The hook is great and holds well. It's the clip on the back that fails/breaks and the larger hook is loose and can fall off the track. You better get the placement perfect the first time and never move it. Had 1 of 4 break. That's a 25% failure rate. Not quality.

After less than a week one of the locking mechanisms to keep this on the track broke. The material on this isn’t as durable as it should be for this sort of bike hanging equipment.

Great for hanging kids bikes, and weed wackers. Very sturdy.

I bought these bike hooks for my garage because Husky us a great brand and they looked durable. What the packaging does not tell you is that you need another product to use these hooks with. Disappointed that I now have to return this since I don't want to spend any more money on bike hooks
