Fresh air is a crucial component for a healthy harvest. Growing plants transpire water vapor and moisture in the grow room which can cause high humidity that can stunt your plants and destroying your crop. Our inline fan can help you to maintain a healthy grow room by efficiently move large volumes of air throughout your ventilation system. For high-powered ventilation and noise reduction, our inline booster fan runs 50% quieter than leading competitors.

Q:can this be used in-line of 50 cfm bath fan duct to boost moisture exhaust?

Answer This Question

A:  I used this in-line fan to replace the bath fan motor. I just removed the old fan but kept the light fixture so not to disturb the ceiling finish. Works great to remove moisture and has more power than the old fan. The in-line fan was mounted away from the bath to reduce noise so it will work anywhere along the vent line. It still needs a back flow damper downstream from the fan to stop draft.

A:  Yes I actually used in a kitchen to vent steam out of dish room

    by|Feb 20, 2022

A:  Yes, it is pretty small and quiet. You would need access and enough room in ceiling to patch in-line of the exhaust duct. Also cut off existing electrical plug and combine wiring to the existing wall switch.

A:  This fan is designed to work on 120v to 220v. We would recommend consulting with an electrician about compatibility to solar power.

          Answer This Question

A:  This fan is intended to be used for greenhouse projects to boost air flow. We recommend consulting with THD Pro desk for recommendation on the specific water heater project.

          by|Jul 8, 2021

A:  I would not use this for venting a flue, it can melt the motor wires. Typical motor wire windings are rated for maximum of 150 C or 302 F temperature. Water heater exhaust still can be much hotter then that (unless you have high efficiency model which use PVC vent pipes). What you are looking for are furnace flue exhaust rated blowers that have motor outside of the propeller housing.

Q:Can this fan be used to help move air through a dryer vent?

              Answer This Question

A:  I wouldn’t. I would vent through a close outside wall for the safest Installation. Dryer vents collect lots of lint that should be cleaned periodically to prevent clogging and potential fire risk.

              by|Jun 21, 2021

A:  Yes it can. As long as the vent is 4 inch

              by|Jun 25, 2021

A:  This fan is designed for greenhouse applications. You may need a higher CFM for a dryer vent.

                by|Jun 21, 2021

A:  Leonard: Unfortunately, this model does not have enough power to assist with the dryer. Additionally, the motor is exposed to the moisture and lint - I would be afraid of a dryer fire

I needed a fan for some non-standard filtered ventilation on a work bench, and had trouble finding something that did not blow so strong as to remove what I am working on from the table. Then I discovered this 4" daimeter Booster Fan, and at a nice slow rate of 100 CFM it fit the need, perfectly! I have a small 5"x5" box with a charcoal filter, and simply opened the hole slightly to accomodate the booster fan. It allows me a constant flow of air over the work area to disburse dust, and to blow glue and epoxy odors away, without blowing away what I am working on. My only complaint is that there is no switch on the unit, or power cord, but that was easy to fix with an in-line power switch. I suspect it might be O.K. when I get back to tying flys this fall...
