No, this filtration unit has KDF and will inhibit bacteria growth but will not filter it. For bacteria we recommend treating the water at the source (well) and adding a post UV filter to make sure nothing gets into your home pipes. Hope this helps.
We recommend using a water testing kit to compare the results over time. This is the most accurate way to know how the system is performing and when it's time to replace. Alternatively, you can also write a replacement date 4-6 years (depending on your local water quality) from the installation date to know when its time to replace.
