About This Product

The WSP-B series spin down sediment filter is the first line defense to your appliances. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners and expensive appliances. The iSpring WSP-B spin down sediment filter comes with a variety of options in micron size. Smaller microns allow less through, but to get most life and efficiency out of your filters it's important to only go as small as you need. Differences in water quality and your water pressure affect the performance of the WSP. Contact our product specialist to get one of the best product recommendations based on your unique situation. WSP series can be used for waste water treatment by spin down the sediment.

  • As a larger, upgraded version of WSP series
  • Filters out particulate, sediment, rust, and floating objects effectively
  • Flushable and reusable, used to create a multi-layer gradient filtration system taking the considerable workload off finer filters that follow it and result in longer filter life
  • Built-in filter screen scraper saves time and effort on routine maintenance
  • Pressure-resistant and durable materials: lead-free brass machine head, high impact food-grade stainless steel mesh filter screen, and explosion-proof transparent housing
  • Works well with copper, PEX, PVC and CPVC pipes; easy installation, no welding or glue needed
  • 1 in. inlet and outlet fnpt fittings provide a maximum flow rate of 35 GPM 2-types of threads on both 2-ends of connectors: 1-inch MNPT and 3/4-inch FNPT.

Questions & Answers

Q:Do you have a pressure drop graph for clean water flow rates through the WSP100B? Assume 1" Pex B tubing metal fittings if that matters. My application will probably range from 10-20 GPM.

Answer This Question

A:  Hi Curious, The flow rate for the system is 35 GPM so normally there is not pressure drop across the system. The system will only restrict pressure if the screen cartridge is filled with sediment. Thank you, iSpring Water Systems LLC

This product works well for well water. Depending on your well water quality for solids will determine how many times you need to flush out the filter. You can get an electric timer automatic flush part. We choose to manually flush the filter. When flushing the filter, you should rotate the bottom portion of the unit that helps scrape in the inside as you flush out debris. You should remove the filter and clean entire filter as needed. Other recommendations, purchasing a second one or at least the inside filter piece for swapping out when cleaning, plumb in a by-pass so you can have water when changing out the filter for cleaning or if filter fails for some reason.

      Spin down filter
I’ve had this along with my 2 stage water filter system installed for 2 weeks and noticed my water pressure was dropping but my spin Down filter wasn’t clogged so I called customer service and Nick was happy to help and give some ideas. He suggested that I go from 100 micron filter to 50 to see if we can get more filtered out before it reached my 2 stage filter. Nick was very knowledgeable, polite and had the new filter headed my way in no time!

        Good for lots of sediments
We used to have a smaller one. It was good but just needed to clean frequently. This one is larger and it can filter more with less cleaning. Very good product.

Very nice made filter. I like the valve on the bottom to clear the filter. I would definitely recommend this if you’re having a lot of rust and sand in your well water.
