Yes
Solid
I strip about an inch of the outer jacket off. Then separate the 4 pairs and use the jacket tube that I stripped off to unfurl the pairs. Roll the wires across your fingers to straighten them out. Then arrange in pairs in a fan fashition: wht/org - solid org - wht/grn - solid blue - wht/blue - solid green - wht/brn - solid brown. Finally, I sort of squish the wires flat between my thumb and forefinger and use the tool to trim right at the edge of my thumb. While still squishing the wires, slowly slide into the connector and watch that the wires don't switch positions as they insert. It's pretty easy once you've done a few.
"Work"? Yes. Full speed Gigabit? Possibly not. I'd suggest getting ones that say Cat6 on the packaging.
