Q:The existing opening of the closet I have is 72 1/2x80 7/8. Would this fit the height properly?

Answer This Question

A:  Adam, Yes You will just have a little extra gap to distribute evenly between the top and the bottom and from side to side. Most folks dont really care about the slightly larger gaps on the sides and bottom since the alternative is a more costly custom-sized unit. You can either leave the sides alone or cover it up with a simple quarter round or square molding running from top to bottom. Thank you to your question.

A:  Nancy, Its mirrored only on one side and is really only designed to be used as a closet door, not a "passage" door. Thank you.

Q:My closet door width opening is 58.75 inches. Will the 59 inch Impact Plus Closet Bi-Fold Door fit? I have previously installed Impact Plus 71 inch Closet Bi-Fold and have a 0.5 inch gap. So if I install a 59 Closet door would it close without any gap?

      Answer This Question

A:  Our door are adjustable but thats out of the range. It sounds like you have a custom size and this unit will not fit in your opening out of the box. Please reach out to us at Sales@CustomDoorandMirror.com if you are interested in seeing if we can get you the custom size. Thank you. Carlos

          Great door stupid hardware
Is overpriced for the hardware that comes with this.Charge me an extra $50 for a better hardware this hardware will not last I don't care what kind of warranty you give me it is junk. Before I even bought this door I already got hardware because I knew from putting in these doors many many times that the junk hardware is the problems of most bifold doors. This door is heavy I bought a carriage style hanger that's made for this bifold door works perfect.if I used their hardware I know it would last

Door itself is really good quality. But it heavy and requires two persons to install. Chrome trim is actually a polished aluminum and came with black marks on it, but we easily removed them with polish paste. It met my expectations and looks much better than less expensive models and I would recommend this product. I have it for 6 weeks now, no problems so far.

BEAUTIFUL DOORS BUT NOT AN EASY INSTALL - MEASURE TWICE AND CUT ONCE.
I searched for 2 years for door replacements - these were the best option. I placed them over my Washer and dryer closet and they deadened the sound from a loud roar to a dull hum. Yes, they are expensive - but you get what you pay for. They are very heavy but that's because they are solid MDF board material - this is why they are more sound proof, durable and breakage resistant. They are breakage resistant, but not unbreakable (LOL) - I unfortunately dropped all 4 panel out of the back of a truck - only one was broken. I called the manufacturer and they immediately worked out a solution for me and the broken panel was replaced for about $125. The manufacturer was also helpful in discussing the installation of the doors and the website has other installation hardware if you want to purchase it; however, it is not needed. They look fantastic when they are all adjusted properly and installed right - which did take a lot of time because you will have to adjust them several times to get it just right. The complaints that there are gaps are because the person didn't take the time to install them right - or had a lazy installer that didn't take the time to do it right. I have two suggestions - Measure twice and cut once, and if you want it done right, do it yourself - then you only have yourself to blame. I didn't want the oak saddle at the bottom, so I elected to drop the header of the door about 5/8 inch and use cove trim to make it all blend and look seamless (all common stock wood at the store). I mounted the metal base plates (that the door panel bottom hardware pivot on) directly to the floor so I didn't have to use the saddle that would cover my hardwood floors. In the end, I ended up with a 1 inch gap at the bottom (which allows for carpet to be placed under the doors easily), I have a 1/4 to 3/8 inch gap between the top of the door and the header track (which cannot be avoided with bifold doors). The pictures attached explain the rest... My ONLY COMPLAINT and suggestion to the company - the header track is made of scratchable aluminum. It came with small scratches in the header and they cant be buffed out (or it dulls the mirror finish) - The company should have placed a plastic cover over the trim that can be removed at the end of installation or make the track out of chrome. To keep from further scratching the face of the track, I placed painters tape on it until I finished the install and then removed it. (I may contact the company about this still to see if they will replace but haven't yet). I hope this helps (because no one really seemed to answer these questions when I was looking around) Good luck!

I found the doors over all well made. The instruction video on the HD site I found better then the paper instructions included. I read a few reviews with sizing issues which in my case came down to the framed opening I was installing them into was not square. This isn't much of an issue for 60's 70's sliding doors which I was removing by Bi-doors work best in square frame. The system does have some adjustment so with a few removals and adjustments I got everything happy. Few things I'll call out. The doors can be flipped as both the top and bottom are drilled but if you look at the hinge pins the flat head should go up. See picture. The instructions call for a drill but at no point does it say "pre-drill holes" When dealing with MDF I first use a snap nail set and pre-drill all holes and don't over tighten. When you set the first door in the track watch the door at the edge. If you don't have clearance loosen the 5/8th bolt at the top and use a pry bar to adjust. See Pictures. Lastly when you attach the oat plate at the bottom. pre-drill and also counter sink for the head.

Love the mirror closet doors. They are heavier than the older ones. The delivery was great. The doors were very well packed & stood on a wooden pallet & another pallet behind the doors. If you aren’t immediately installing be sure to have a large place to store.

Damaged when delivered. Refused delivery. Price increased substantially to reorder. I feel it should have been the same price as damage was caused by Home Depot employees!!
