Q:Instructions call for the bottom track to be set back 5/8". That results in the front of the outer door being inset 1/4" from the adjacent wall (w/o trim). How do I install the top and bottom tracks so that the outer door is flush to the wall, not inset?

Answer This Question

A:  Mrs P, One panel will always not be flush to the wall since the panels are set one behind the other. Basically you could set your track wherever you choose to lilne up the panel to the wall and then just make sure you move the top track accordingly so they they are straight up and down. This is known as plumb. If this didnt help or you have more questions, please reach out to us at sales@customdoorandmirror.com with your contact information and one of our techs would be happy to help. Thanks, Joey CDM

Q:Can I cut the height of the 96” doors? By how much? some Brand Product Experts (BPEs) have told questioners that they can't cut, and must order custom. Other BPEs have said, “you can cut the height and would be cheaper option than a custom door.”

Q:Will the 48x80 fit a rough opening height of only 80 inches ? Does fits opening height 83 1/2 to 84 1/2 mean it can adjusted to larger opening heights ?

    Answer This Question

A:  Rich, It turns out this is a typo which we are getting fixed. That is the height range for out 84" door. The height range for the 80" unit is 79-1/2" to 80-1/2" Sorry about that. Our doors are manufactured to fit into a "Finished Opening" the adjustability is built into the door for the appropriate height. In your example there is about 1" of adjustability either way for the door size chosen. The rough opening really doesn't figure in. I hope this helps. Please reach out to Sales@CustomDoorandMirror.com if you have additional questions. Carlos @ CDM

cheap hardware poorly installed hence way overpriced
The door themselves are fine and what i wanted. its the harware namely the rollers. They dont even look like the right hardware as they dont sit flush. The screw holes arent pre drilled they even install 4 screws on the rollers...only 2 screws and 2 empty holes. . I wish i HD would allow more photos so you could see how cheap this is. Avoid this product.

Solid beats laun style doors by a mile! Easy installation even for this 70 yr. old. This will be the third set I will install. Last thing for that bedroom to finish rebuilding from flooding.

Received product in a timely manner. Installation was straight forward and with another pair of hands easy to accomplish. Doors are SOLID and look just as photo depicts them. I ordered the product off the website. There were 2 different sizes needed for the closets.

Just finished installing my second set of Impact plus closet doors
I am so thrilled to have new closet doors and they look just perfect! See photo. All of the parts are very high quality and have been installed on the doors perfectly, so I didn't have to make any adjustments. The composite doors are very heavy, however, so I took them apart downstairs and hauled them upstairs one by one so as not to damage them. I started with one set of doors because, not having ever installed closet doors before, I was a bit unsure of how things would go. I ordered these because the doors had been primed and I figured all the pieces should match and work together. They all did and installation was pretty easy, though I did consult more than one online video to get a better idea of what to expect. I'm just an average repair person, although I am pretty good at figuring things out and have done other household repairs. A beginner might need a little bit of consultation with someone of more experience in order to avoid doing something out of order, like waiting to paint the doors until after installation, as the instructions are the only part lacking in this set. After the first set was installed with relatively little angst or time, I ordered two more sets and just finished installing the second set. That speaks for itself, I should think.

These closet doors are beautiful. I bought them to replace cracked mirrored closet doors and they add a touch of elegance to my bedroom. Now, I will have to upgrade my bedroom furniture to match the doors. They were delivered when promised and my contractor installed them in about an hour and a half. I'm extremely pleased with the purchase.

            Dear HomeDepotCustomer,
This is a primed product. Sometimes scratches happen anywhere along the way, and are easily fixed when the prep in completed for the final paint job. I light sanding or a small amount of spackle and a another light sanding would defintiely cover any minor imperfections and your doors should look perfect once its painted. We stand by our product. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us at Sales@CustomDoorandMirror.com or 631-414-7725. Thank you.
