Can this be used with a reverse osmosis system? Also, is the cold water chilled out just tap water?

Asked by Jerry September 5, 2020

Answer

Hi Jerry, thanks for reaching out. This product is not certified for use with RO Systems. If you choose to use an RO System with this product, you may experience a metallic taste due to the copper tubing from the faucet. The water on the cold side is not chilled.

What is the flow rate?

Hi HM, the average flow rate is 1 ounce per second/.47 GPM.

Does the cold water dispenser lock down so I can walk away while it fills my water pitcher?

Hi Bel, F-HC3300 has a Stay-On™ feature that allows the cool handle faucet to remain open for easy use.

Does the cool watwr come out cold or at room temperature? Is there a way to adjust the cool water temperature?

Hello JP! The temperature of the water from the cool side will depend on the cold water supply line. It can't be adjusted on the faucet nor on the tank. I hope this helps!

Will this model work with an existing tank or is it a different tank to accomodate the cool water

Asked by Jrisden September 5, 2019

Answer

Hello Jrisden! This will work with the InSinkErator® SST or HWT-F1000S tank. The cool water that will come out of the faucet will be coming directly from the supply line. Thank you for asking.

Best On The Market, Bar None
I've owned and replaced many over 30-35 years and this, by far, is the best of all brands I've owned or seen in other homes. This one comes as close to 210 degrees as you can get without boiling the water away, which is important for making coffee and tea. I make fresh filtered coffee in the same time it takes to make instant coffee. While it's not a rolling boil, it makes black or green tea instantly and perfectly. Run it through an under-sink filter system and you virtually eliminate the need for bottled water. Installation is not for the faint of heart or those not mechanically inclined. It requires an under-sink outlet and a knack for a plumbing connection, but I wouldn't buy any other brand or model. This particular model is excellent, as one lever gets you tepid or HOT water. If you really wanted to, you could run the tepid line through an under-sink or basement chiller and have truly HOT and COLD instant filtered water at your finger tips. I did just that in my last home. The box comes with most things you need, but not everything. You may want Teflon tape, edible plumber's grease, plumbing tools and a whole set of electrical tools and supplies if you intend to do the wiring yourself. While you're there, install a quad or double duplex so you can install a garbage disposal, if you don't already have one. that outlet will need to be switched.

Great looking
I am disappointed that the faucet dispenser sputters with both the hot and cold options, but, mostly the hot - which is a safety issue. Have tried cleaning the spout, but there is nothing there, and it's new. The cold water is almost 'warm' and I would like the hot water to be hotter. The look though, is great. I love having instant hot water for a pot of tea. It is easy to operate. The filtration system works well.

The only issue I currently notice is that the output water flow stream tends to spray/spread with higher source pressures. A pressure regulator on the incoming line would help to minimize/eliminate this.

We have been using it for a couple of months now. it is stylish and functional. Both hot and cold water (but not a combination of the two, i.e. warm) can be dispensed from a single unit. Eliminates the need to have an extra dispenser at/near the sink for dispensing both hot and cold RO/filtered water. The only "issue" is that higher water pressures do tend to cause spray/spreading of the stream exiting the tip. A pressure regulator on the incoming water line (from the RO/filter to both the hot tank and cold water connection) should be able to correct this.

nice product, well built, good appearance.
I purchased this faucet to match the same style faucet that delta sells for hot and cold water on kitchen sink.. Looks very similar, slight difference in metal finish but knew that when purchased it. Finish on it is satin nickel and delta is stainless steel. Very close but not exact. Installation was simple and quality is on par with delta faucet if not slightly sturdier. Only down side is it is really expensive, twice the price as regular delta faucet..I would recommend it because it was easy to install and has a complete setup option. You can buy the hot water heater and filter then choose the faucet that you like (faucet is sold separately from heater/filter kit). Most others come with hot water heater and faucet, so if you don't like faucet your stuck buying another one. As quality I have only owned it 2 months so cannot give opinion how long it will last. Have had no issues since I owned it though. Installation took about a hour and half.

Great quality. Awesome features
I recommend a plumber for installation. The faucet is solid and it feels well made. So far no issues.

Elegant
I always grew up with a filtered water tap, but when I bought my own home with beautiful granite counter tips and a desire for an instant hot water dispenser. This combines the functionality of dispensing filtered near boiling water and filtered tepid water while contributing to the style of my kitchen. Although I don't have children I like that there is a type of child safty lock that prevents accidental scalding.

Expensive and does not last
The warranty says 5 years and right on dot at the 5 year mark the faucet started leaking. What a waste.. The O-RING is the one leaking and the part cant be replaced

Response from INSINKERATORFeb 22, 2021
Hi, thanks for sharing your comments. The life of an InSinkErator® Hot Water Dispenser is entirely dependent upon service conditions, usage patterns, and local water quality, just as is expected with other small home appliances. The only part of a hot water dispenser that is replaceable is the aerator. Because of safety concerns we do not provide internal/working components for our faucet as replacement parts. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We're always working hard to improve our products and your feedback is very valuable to us.
