Q:When we push the button, there?s a click in the box under the sink, but the disposal doesn?t work. It?s been suggested that there could be a hole in the bellows, but would we hear the click, if that were true? The unit is 5 years old.

A:Â Hello Drew! Thanks for your question. Based on what you've described, it appears that you've installed it correctly. The stainless-steel washer and rubber gasket are placed between the push button and the top of sink counter. Answer This Question
A:Â Hi Linda, we're glad you asked. Yes, you will need the SinkTop Switch Dual Outlet Kit if you want to convert from a wall switch. The model is STS-OOSN (includes 1 satin nickel push button): https://thd.co/3K0irAH. You can purchase the push button separately if you want to use a different finish. If your existing disposer is not corded, you'll need to purchase a power cord kit, model CRD-00.

Didn't last. won't be an easy job now that the sink and counters are in.
I had this installed about 6 months ago. It is literally just push button and not difficult to use. it was used maybe once or twice a day. pushed it the other day and it broke just below the nut. See image.

Replaced a black button (when the air switch broke) with this. The faucet is polished brass and this nearly perfectly matches it. Looks great.

French Gold not as pictured
The French Gold in the picture is brushed or at least matte. But the button I received is a plastic piece and is very shiny.

The black looks great. Functions as it should. Given 4 stars for pricing. This is just a push button with no mechanical components, so the mark up has to be huge on this. The manufacturer should include the switch with your selection of button color instead of having to buy a second button.

Not As pictured
In the photo this looks like it would be a brushed gold finish. It is not! Super shiny and does not go with my faucet. Why did Home Depot recommend this air switch for this faucet? They don’t go together at all.

Super glossy, not matte as shown in picture. Entirely plastic.
The picture shown for the "black" finish is not in sync with its true appearance. For over $20 I was aghast to discover that this was not in the finish shown and is a tiny plastic part. Was expecting metal or something robust. Super disappointing. Will be returning.

Hi Em, I'm sorry to hear about this. The InSinkErator SinkTop Switch Button is also available in matte black finish, it's model STC-MTBLK. The button and bezel (trim around the button) are molded plastic with a brass plated sheathing over the plastic. We appreciate your taking time to share feedback as all comments help us to continuously improve.

Oil Rubbed Bronze. It is not!
Brown painted aluminum, maybe. Definitely, not oil rubbed bronze, as it claims. All of my other fixtures are bronze, and this terrible brown paint does not match.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about this. The Oil-Rubbed Bronze finish has powder coating. If you are trying to match the finish to the rest of your kitchen fixtures, you can use our Finish Matching Guide available on our website to determine which color is comparable to other manufacturers' finishes. Here's the link: https://bit.ly/3305XVu. If you are unhappy with your accessory, you can return it or exchange it for a more suitable color.
