Customer Reviews

67-5/9 oz. Septic Shock (Case of 6) is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 122.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely happy I gave it a try! My septic field has been noticeable wet for the last year. So I began to look into the cost of fixing/replacing it. After researching the problem I decided it was probably a bacteria mat not allowing the effluent to soak into the ground. Solution was replace the field (expensive) or try something like this product (inexpensive). No brainer, I bought a case for -50$ in mid June. I jump started the system with 2 bottles the first week and since dumped a bottle into my lift tank approx. every 7 days. It is now the 1st of August. the area of the septic field is now dry on the surface and is no longer spongy and the grass is now growing more even. I have bought 2 more cases and plan to cut back to a maintenance schedule of once a month soon if it stays dry. FYI we had 5 inches of rain in 3 days more than a week ago and the field looks great today. It seems to have worked for me and saved me a lot of money. Give it a try, I'm extremely happy I did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for leach field issues Had percolation issues from an old leach line. Had septic pumped first. Then used my tractor to expose top four feet of leach field and poured 3 or 4 of these on top of roughly 6' by 20' section. Sprayed it down with hose to soak in and then covered it back up. Problem solved. Now use half bottle every 4-6 weeks for maintenance. Use as directed or your mileage may vary. If you pour this in the toilet for a bad issue, it won't work right away, as it clearly states. Also, the recommendation for my problem was to add directly to line coming from tank going into field, so that would require digging it up. Pouring into tank would dilute it and take longer as well. I just bought 2 more cases (for maintenance), free shipping, and it came to my door in less than a week. It has a money-back guarantee, but they do require some evidence that it really didn't work when used as directed. Quite happy with my results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Septic Shock I didn't think this product would help since we had our septic pumped a few months earlier and they had said if we had any other problems it would entail digging up the field for $1700. Not many people have that kind of money sitting around anymore so I read the reviews here and ordered a case. My problem was that I live in a manufactured home with a tank and a backyard septic field. When I ran the washer for a few times, I would see suds coming up next to my toilet and in my tub plus hearing a gurgling sound there and in my second bathroom; in addition I was noticing and smelling septic starting to bubble up on the side closest to the field. When I put the first two bottles in, the bubbling stopped and I noticed the smell going down, but not completely. I religiously went in every week for 6 weeks and put a bottle of Shock in my toilets and now my problem is completely resolved, whether it was some stuck paper or dog hair, it is gone. I also have no water at my field or tank coming to the surface and the smell is not there. I do myself a favor though and try not to do my wash all at one time and I try not to do it on rainy days. I highly recommend trying this before you think the situation is hopeless and you either spend a fortune or do without some help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product Drain lines were overflowing and wet , all grass had died, and septic tank had foul smell. I poured two bottles of this into tank and within three days the odor had ceased. I poured another bottle into tank and within a week area around drain line had dried up. I poured a bottle each week for five weeks. level in tank has dropped two feet and this stuff works great for the problem I had. I have now ordered two cases and will pour a bottle each month into tank. A lot easier and cheaper than digging up field/drain lines and got the same if not better result. May not work for you but it sire worked for me. I would certainly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for me I have a 30 year old septic system with a very small leech field. I usually have my tank pumped every 2-3 years. Last spring I had a backup in the downstairs tub. I had the tank pumped and had them locate my distribution box. The yard was VERY wet like it is every spring due to a high water table. I was told my field was shot and would require a new system to the tune of $10,000. I started searching the Internet for any type of product that might help my situation. I came across a lot of them. Some were $300 for a 5 gallon bucket guaranteed to work but I didn't want to shell out that kind of money yet. My local HD doesn't stick this on the shelf so I had to order online which is $15 cheaper to order a case than buy single bottles anyways. I didn't follow directions and I dumped in all 6 bottles into the distribution box to give it a jumpstart. I was leery that it wasn't working due to the box still overflowing into the yard. So I tried another product that contained peroxide a couple of times. So far the yard has dried up and no more back ups. I don't know if it was this alone or a combination of products? However I still dump a bottle a month in just as a precaution.
